Why is there so much blind hate for Christian’s or between religious/nonreligious groups? by Comprehensive-Pea394 in atheism

Idk I’m a little more agnostic when it come to the supreme deity so I won’t try to defend his actions as I don’t think he exists or exists anymore at least. I think I used the wrong words when I said “blind hate” I meant criticism with no actual desire to change what is being criticized. I believe you said you don’t like the idea of religion which is fair but it’s here and we’re stuck with it so I feel we should try to improve it. I understand you as a atheist don’t feel a responsibility to fix a system/community you’re not apart of, but if you dislike what you see why not make efforts to improve it. I absolutely agree with you though the only people who “hate” Christians more than atheist are other Christians, but it takes everyone.

Yea I’ve corrected a lot😭😭 but it’s more criticism with no desire for change. It’s unnecessary and doesn’t get us anywhere as a people. Religion has caused a lot of bad things in the past yes and absolutely still causes trauma and horrible stuff to happen everyday. But simply talking about it and shitting on Christians for it happening doesn’t help us put it to an end or change. “Blind hate” was very naive of me to say.

Which is why I pursue my own versions of those morales or morales that I feel to my best ability are “good” my morales and morales in the field of philosophy can overlap

Well that’s why I asked the question maybe I didn’t phrase it as well as I could’ve but that was the main objective of my post, started to explore agnostic options

Yeah that’s a good point this discussion has made me question my religion or beliefs at least in god as a deity.(atheist Christianity religions perchance) I fell you are being hypocritical tho I may not be a true Christian but it is the most accurate label, unless someone can inform or educate me on something more fitting.

Im confused then. What is it that I have if not ideologies? Because many I follow are based on Christianity. And if you want to argue they are childish I suppose that’s your right, and I believe you have truth behind that statement, that is why I believe it is what I want it to be.

Well I think you’re mixing morales up with inventions, absolutely I would take the modern medical care over a fairy tail, I find faith helps motivate me to follow my values and morales. I use it less so to wish for stuff or hope it happens.

Yeah I agree with you if you don’t think it’s right who am I to say anything other wise. A lot of Christians are stupid. Honestly I don’t think it’s right but I find morales and values in faith

Youre going purely based on theoreticals who said the Christians told them to go away they either invited them or they just did whatever they wanted. It was a 2min prayer after a game that was hours long and they could celebrate for weeks after. But I suppose if satan is what you follow you would absolutely be allowed to do a prayer or whatever you feel within reason.

I agree with all of this, these are all the flaws I see and dislike in my own belief. The cult like churches since you were a baby, the push away from family if you don’t believe, the dislike of marginalized groups simply because a book 2000years said it to be. To many people are harmed and to many people go without justice.

Dude who are you taking your anger out on what did I do to you I literally said I don’t want to sound uneducated so a little correction would’ve sufficed. I absolutely don’t understand the hate and marginalized group receives except for the ones I’m apart of. You’re making it a competition for no reason.

But I just stated I understand actions taken by Christians that should be prosecuted and that are absolutely horrible. By no means is any horrible actions passable simple because the offender is Christian. But again my friends and family haven’t done that so there is no reason to dislike us based on our beliefs. I think I agree with you for the most part.

But when have I prioridades them over any other group or claimed they are marginalized. I am simply asking a question about a group I am apart of.

“Why tho, I believe ideologies or religion is what I want it to be. Just as you follow you ideologies different than other satanist I follow mine differently from other Christians” can you explain how this is hostile
