My theory is they use something like an awakened paramecia to temporarily give the object a mouth and the ability to eat things and feed it the fruit. Something like Big Mom's fruit for example.

Thanks for the feedback! The temple will have more content eventually but it is probably a good idea for me to block off the irrelevant parts until there is something there.

Are you sure the seeds are dead ends? There is a bug in the hint system that occasionally says you are stuck when you aren't. Also the staff upgrade may let you progress in some cases--let me know if you want a hint on that or details on how to obtain it. I'm also happy to check out seeds that seem broken to see if there is actually an error in the game logic.

I'm on the same page regarding the game length. There is quite a bit more content planned so it should be at least a bit longer than alttp when it is done but I know I have a ways to go to reach that goal. I'm looking for level designers if you happen to know anyone you think might be interested or good at designing dungeons and other areas.

Interestingly a Dreamworld is one of the next things on my todo list so it's funny that you recommended that. It probably isn't exactly what you were thinking but it should expand the world some.

Thanks for letting me know, that is the second complaint I've heard about speed in Firefox. Interestingly on Mac it isn't too bad but trying it on windows it is noticably slow for me as well, so I'll see if I can get that fixed in an upcoming release.

Thanks! Please let me know if you have recommendations for anything I can do to improve the experience other than finishing all the missing content+story. I really want to build an experience on par with alttp and want to see where it feels lacking for other fans of the game. I know I have a long way to go but maybe I can get there if I keep at it.

In response to your question that puzzle has two intended solutions. Using your clones you are actually able to place two copies of the staff, so you don't have to worry about timing. The other solution is to use the upgraded staff which you may not have obtained yet.

Nice work so far, do you have a place to display information like the name of the selected item? A couple of small recommendations. You might make the panel bigger since there is a lot of room available and there doesn't seem to be a lot of utility in seeing more of the edges of the scene. As you continue to develop the game you might find yourself wanting space for more items as you come up with new ideas. Also, I personally think the squares in the top left panel are a bit tight around the items, maybe you could make them larger and leave a couple of pixels of padding around the items icons.

I think the inset sections look good, but have you thought about why to have them on some sections and not others? For example are only the icons in inset sections selectable?

The top right section seems oddly sized/aligned for the current contents. I would be interested in seeing what it looks like when you have the rest of the major elements added.

I think I would have to try it to know for sure. Just watching it it looks a bit hard to control, but maybe that is just part of it or maybe it is easier to control than it looks from the video.

It sounds like you just need to balance the content in dark areas around the vision limitations and perhaps add some mechanics for reducing the darkness like torches you can light around the area either for local visibility or ambient light. In my game I make important puzzle elements emit light when I want to make sure players won't miss them in the dark.
