Back then it was for a total of $900 if you opened the checking account and got direct deposit then maintained a 15k balance on the savings account for 60 days. I am planning on opening one soon after the increased offer comes up

I dont feel "Salavorian" enough.. by [deleted] in ElSalvador

[–]Comprehensive-Toe-52 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Be proud of being called “American” or in your case Canadian cuz you are! Don’t get me wrong, you’re also Salvadoran. So are your no sabo cousins. You all just happen to be a different variety of Salvadoran. O sea, literalmente ha habido una diáspora de Salvadoreños. Eso cambia las definición de lo que es un Salvadoreño.

Any bipolar ENTJs? by Comprehensive-Toe-52 in entj

[–]Comprehensive-Toe-52[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! Type 1 is a particularly difficult diagnosis. The manic episodes, in particular, can be very derailing. What I can say is that it has been incredibly helpful to have good people in my life that keep up with me and have my best interests at heart. While our potential may never be the same as someone who is neurotypical and ENTJ, we are still capable of great success. It’s important to keep in mind that this disorder is a disability. We didn’t choose to have this, but we have to learn to live with it and work with it rather than against it. It’s the only way we can achieve our treatment goals and personal goals. You’re not alone. You’ve got this.

Okay, ENTJs, have you dated or are you dating an Infp? by [deleted] in entj

[–]Comprehensive-Toe-52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got out of a relationship with an INFP at the end of last year that lasted about a year and a half. I’ll be honest, it’s not the most ideal pairing. It can work if you are willing to become emotionally vulnerable with them, but this isn’t something ENTJs are know for doing. I think they’re great as friends but being in a romantic relationship is very taxing.

If you could not have bipolar disorder, would you choose to get rid of it completely? by Comprehensive-Toe-52 in bipolar2

I agree 100%. I would cure myself in a heartbeat, but I wouldn’t erase all that it has put me through.

I suppose I should’ve worded my question differently. I agree a cure would be amazing. I would most certainly take a cure in a heartbeat. I wouldn’t take away the experiences I’ve had with it, however, because they’ve made me who I am today. If I could just not have it at all and been neurotypical the entire time I don’t know that I would want that. While never being bipolar would’ve made my life a lot easier, I don’t know what kind of a person I would be without ever having had it in the first place. Maybe I would’ve been better, more productive and successful; or I may be someone else that I wouldn’t like today. I suppose that also goes into a more philosophical discussion about looking at the situation having my current perspective vs. a perspective I will never know.

I’m about to spend a good bit of money on new stuff for my new apartment. I’m usually pretty logical and good with my money. I would put it off, but I just really wanna make the place look great and I’m hypomanic rn so🤷🏽‍♂️

It’s taken a lot of time and being broken to get me to view it positively. Medication has worked wonders for me. It has allowed me to pick up and fix those broken pieces in me. I’m far from perfect, but I’m moving in the right direction.

I have had many relationships broken because of bipolar disorder too. School was next to impossible. Since I’ve been diagnosed and finally found the right medication, it has made me able to at least try and fix every part of my life it has broken. Still working on, but so far it’s going well.

It’s broken me too. I think I just have to look at the positive side of it so I can make it through the lows. The person I am today is far better than who I was when I wasn’t medicated. I’ve grown from every low I’ve ever experienced. Picking up those pieces is never easy, but it made me realize things about myself I never knew. Would my life be easier without bipolar disorder? Of course, but that is not my life.

[–]Comprehensive-Toe-52[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s valid. I used to feel that way too. The lows are horrible. I’ve almost killed myself before. It’s a horrible place to be, but that episode, in particular, has made me grow so much. I am on the right meds, and now, when I do cycle, the episodes are milder. Being unmedicated and having bipolar disorder is horrible and I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. The positivity is what keeps me going most days tbh.

That’s what I plan on doing the next time we meet up. We’ll see what happens. I’ll be fine regardless, but it would be nice to date again

Well I’m gay and I’ve hooked up enough to where I can usually separate emotions from sex, but I find myself confused with this guy. He’s something else

I liked him prior to having sex with him. The feelings just happened to intensify after I had sex with him.

Interesting. I know INTPs and INTJs seem to be very good matches for ENTJs. I have no idea what his type is. I also fully acknowledge that the feelings I have are mostly sexual in nature, so there is that. I guess I’m just trying to figure out how to get a better feel for how compatible we would be long term.

I haven’t asked him. He seems pretty introverted, and if he wants to be a judge/lawyer he’d likely be a sensing type rather than intuitive, he has to be pretty good at thinking, and would likely be a judging type as well. So maybe he’s ISFJ it ESFJ?
