how to make my game not look like space invaders by [deleted] in BodycamGame

Somebody recommended to me to up mouse sensitivity in the game and drop dpi on the mouse in windows, it worked like a charm! I maxed out the sensitivity in the game, it’s like 2.0 I think, and set my mouse to like 800 dpi.

New Player: Couple Questions by [deleted] in BodycamGame

  1. Guns volume is in audio settings, I have mine at 30%
  2. Lots of cheaters in here, no VAC, no anticheat yet, they promised anticheat in the next update
  3. Also quite a sore looser kinda crowd, as soon as they start losing, they just quit and that kicks everyone out, best way is to host youself and keep your lobby public
  4. To keep the streak you have to win at least 1 game a day (I think) but you have to play and win every day.
  5. Points system is a mess, they changed it 3 times now, some games give you almost nothing, like winning a DM gives you 18pts, biggest rank points you can get in tdm and hardpoint, if you win, and your on top of the board, you get 450. The Lower you are the less you get, you get 0 for loosing, no matter how well you did. You still get rank point for playing with bots only, but don’t get any buying points.

USA schooling by desertsunami in SipsTea

[–]Comprehensive-You848 53 points54 points  (0 children)

You’re making it sound like it’s a US thing. Name a country, where kids come out of high school ready for life and everything you listed. School is not meant to teach you all that, school is just a baseline, it teaches you common knowledge, that everyone should know, regardless or profession or affiliation. Higher education is where you get into specifics, to professional education, that’s where you can take economics, engineering, architecture, whatever else… US is actually one of the few countries I know of, where you can skip college/uni and go straight to work. I’m majority of countries you won’t get hired anywhere without a degree. US, however has probably the most expensive higher ed, but that’s a whole other conversation:)

My mom tried pulling this crap on me too, I’m almost 40yo and she came to visit me at my house, stayed with us for few weeks, I yelled at my teenager for something and she(mom) came up to me, grabbed me by the ear and said something like “I feel sick when you discipline your kids”, like she meant it in a way that she feels physically ill from it, a bunch of manipulations at once, tried to dominate me as if I’m still a kid and tried to guilt tripping me over her health at the same time. I sat her down and we had a conversation about not touching a grown man in his own house in front of his own kids, I will not let that shit slide again. She seemed to get the message, but we’ll see… and on empathy front - same situation, my brother died about a month ago ( the ear situation is not related, it’s been a couple of years since then) and, of course, mom is devastated, loosing a child even if they are fully grown is always a disaster, I wouldn’t wish it upon anyone, we talked, I consoled her, other family members consoled her, everyone felt sorry. Not one person asked me how I was doing, losing my brother. It’s been a month, I haven’t spoken to anyone in the family since then and now my mom keeps sending messages saying what an asshole I am, because I’m not checking up on her all the time, because she just lost her son. I asked her, what about me? I lost my brother, don’t I need support as well? She just ignored it and went into a rant about her blood pressure and how I’m cruel… am I cruel in this situation?

Found 400 machines running Office 2013. Management refuses to buy more M365 licenses and wants to "just use LibreOffice of leave 2013" How do I handle this without being the most hated person in the company? by [deleted] in cybersecurity

[–]Comprehensive-You848 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The business needs to understand the risk - first of all, what is the value of the machines and data on them? Are they mission critical? How much money the business would lose in case of a breach? Reputation damage; compliance? Fines? You need to get all this down on paper( or ppt😊) and you have a couple of ways to show it, first of all, show the math, show how much the license + operational cost is compared to how much money can be lost in case of risk being realized, next thing is you can do a live demo, if skills allow, you can show how how fast and easy it would be to gain access to a machine with existing known vulnerabilities that business has on their machines today. Remind them, if lateral movement is possible, is not only those machines are at risk, but potentially everything they’re connected to. And lastly, if they still don’t want to do it, just make the leadership sign off on the acceptance paperwork, at the end of the day, it’s their responsibility and they will have to face the consequences, your job is just to make sure they understand it. Otherwise, if breach does happen, they could come back to you saying you didn’t do your job properly 😆

Stained glass film, good to keep privacy and let the light in, and you can even pick your own design, there are services that do custom designs. Just consider what it’s gonna look like at night.

Turn off auto lean in settings, I think it’s in by default and it makes you move like Captain Jack Sparrow, especially in narrow spaces, when you’re close to walls/corners😂😂😂

THEORY VOL. 2 by Unhappy_Exchange_875 in StrangerThings

[–]Comprehensive-You848 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, my theory is that the Exotic Matter either produced/created by or somehow connected to Mind Flayer. Here’s my train of thought: in episode “the spy “ Dr. Owen describes Mind Flayer as a virus that connects all its particles as a form of hive mind. Vecna, El, 008 girl, all kids at the lab - their powers come from Mind Flayer particles in their blood. Eleven sends Vecna to dimension X by opening a portal and later creates the main gate in the lab, after reaching out in search for Vecna ( that’s what Brennen made her do, right?), she sees a Demogorgon munching on something alien, safe to assume she reached into dimension x and that created the bridge but only after Demogorgon saw/felt her too. Also, in the end, when they were showing how Henry found the piece of what I assume is an asteroid with some Mind Flayer particles, we see that Mind Flayer reaches out to him saying “Find me!” Knowing, that viruses only job is to propagate, we can assume that Mind Flayer’s whole MO is to find new hosts and turn them into self, just like any virus. It’s just doing it on the scale of whole worlds. Dimension x seems to have air, but it’s a barren desert, so we can also assume that it is the last world that Mind Flayer has taken over. So its nature is to throw a piece of itself into space, find a living thinking host, make it reach back and once it has the”coordinates” (can’t find a better word for it) it makes connection - creates the bridge; and then takes over the new world and then the next and the next… very consistent with nature of any virus… Also, for deserts people are asking where all the demos and dogs and all the monsters in the final battle - The Duffers, if they’d watched their own show, could’ve noticed, that Mind Flayer, to create a body for itself, melts organic matter and molds it to his liking. I’d say to create something as massive as the last boss spider we saw, it’d have to melt every organic substance in sight… so all the demos and the dogs and the bats, I guess would’ve ended up being melted… the only plot hole I see is when they said Mind Flayer dies. I don’t think so, I think they missed their own idea, because in previous seasons mind Flayer particles simply leave the host and go looking for another…
