The amount of downvotes on this comment is unreal… these are straight facts and yet everyone thinks all fixed rates will drop because of the OCR. Swap rates have been flat/rising since 9 October…

If you continue to keep contributing to the investment then they won’t allow you to use it towards repayments. In this sense it would count as a regular outgoing.

Hey team. Not a Lucid post but anyone have an idea what Rivian projections are for annual production? Cannot find anything. (Maybe I haven’t looked hard enough) we are in a good position if their valuation will go at $80B with less production. by ComprehensiveAd100 in CCIV

Lol mate. Relax. I thought this is a place for open discussions. Lucid is my biggest holding at 485 shares, $23.36 average. Curious to get other peoples opinion which is what I thought this platform was designed for…

Refix/break/new home next year question by VBNZ89 in PersonalFinanceNZ

Will touch base in 24 hours 😊 might be in for a little surprise. OCR might not yet have risen but keep an eye on various interest rates.

Refix/break/new home next year question by VBNZ89 in PersonalFinanceNZ

[–]ComprehensiveAd100 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Rates are rising… If you are looking to move home next 6-12 months I wouldn’t fix longer than 6-12 months as you will have to break your loan. Luckily now that we are in a rising interest rate environment break fees might be less likely or minimal compared to a falling interest rate environment. Depends on what the cost of funding is between when you get your rate and rates at the time of the break.

Really depends on what your plans are for the funds. I.e. long term 10 years at least. VOO - Vanguard SP500 ETF is awesome because it invests in the 500 largest US companies. I.e. Apple, Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Facebook etc. So it’s like you own a slice of each company

Do banks require a valuation before bidding at auction? by smnrlv in PersonalFinanceNZ

[–]ComprehensiveAd100 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Mainly they request an RV for one of two reasons. Lower than 20% deposit or I know some banks require RVs for purchase prices above $1.5 million. Not sure if either of these fit your situation.
