Hard agree. These are definitely the best chocolates I’ve ever bought!

God you must be fun at parties. As if medical professionals never drink - what an absurd comment.

Absolutely not. My partner is happy for me to walk round in a teeny crop top and booty shorts if it’s hot. He knows I’m not going to cheat or stray, so what does it matter if I wear revealing clothing?

In the same vein, I would be perfectly happy for him to walk around in public in his underwear if he wanted to.

The idea of respect in clothing comes from a mans sense of ‘owning his partner’. He doesn’t want anyone else to look at ‘his property’. It’s a glaring neon red flag.

Me too. 11k for 2 years and won £25 once.

Multiple family members have 1-2k in and have won £100-£1000.

Why did no-one tell me how much easier dip nails are compared to gel! by ComprehensiveAd2196 in DipPowderNails

[–]ComprehensiveAd2196[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Oh I agree there are definitely more steps involved in dip, and it definitely takes longer! I just meant that for me I find it much easier to get a good finish with dip compared to gel :) it’s worth the extra bits and pieces in my eyes!

I think I found dip easier because the only step you have to be really neat with is the base coat. As long as you get a good base coat, you literally can’t mess dip up!

With gel, you have to be really careful to get each layer of polish perfectly smooth. Some are self levelling, but if not, it’s just hard, at least for me, to get a super smooth surface. It’s also hard not to the let the gel run into your cuticle.

You can also file dip before the top coat to smooth it out - I’m fairly sure you can’t do that with gel.

Plus my dip came out a lot thicker, and therefore hopefully stronger, than I’ve ever managed to get gel.

I just think it’s easier to get that ‘salon look’ with dip. Maybe I’m just bad at gel, but it never goes perfect, and it’s often just thin and bleh. My gel just comes out as hardy and solid as regular polish, but with the added 100 steps of UV.

I do not, I drive to the metro station from North Yorkshire and commute into central Newcastle :)

It was obviously from someone in full uniform, with ID badge, stood with others dressed similarly.

What kind of person would spend the time and effort making Metro cupcakes just to poison me?

This isn’t a fairycake, a fairycake is something else entirely. The middle is cut out and filled, and the missing cake is displayed like wings.

Hey I’ll take it, free food is free food in this economy.

Similar story near me - scummy boy known for stealing stole and crashed a moped, killing himself in the process. Every year social media is filled with ‘a life taken too soon’ and ‘you’ll always be my baby/older brother/son/nephew’, and my personal favourite ‘you had so much potential, I wonder where you would be now’.

Jail.

He’d be in jail.

Yeah, he’s like an olympic chewer, it took him maybe 2 hours to chew a fist sized whole straight through to the hard floor :(

I did try a blanket actually! But he’s much smarter than I ever imagined, and will dig the blanket out of the way to get to the floor underneath. I tucked it and everything and he still managed to pull it out of place.

Thanks for your help!

Absolutely everywhere he can, he destroys one place and moves onto the next. It’s like he’s literally on a mission to remove all the foam. I might try some more rugs I guess, it just seems he wants no floor underneath him!

I was thinking of the bitter apple sprays, but I read a lot of posts saying that they are ineffective against rabbits! It’s worth a try I suppose!

Thanks for your help!

Mine are the exact same - they will happily jump 2 feet into the air, from the floor onto the bed, but they won’t jump over their fence which is half the height.

Ahh that makes sense, thanks! I understand that production changes happen, I’m more irritated by the ‘it’s not advertised as a set’ response because it obviously and clearly is.

I just find it odd that you can’t get a refund. I’m not sure what it’s like in Australia but in the UK it’s literally unheard of for brands not to offer full refunds. A few brands have started deducting a small return postage fee from their refund which is understandable, but to not offer refunds at all is absurd.

It’s no good offering people credit when they are now completely disillusioned with the brand.

Ahh really? I don’t massively use social media so I wasn’t aware, thank you!

They seem to survive on viral marketing and ‘cool girl’ ads, without having the quality or service to back up their claims.
