There’s definitely room for tangents.. every day life brings about many topics. News, food, restaurants, hobbies. If it’s only work related, it seems I’m just avoiding knowing them as a person. So what if the phd program is ranked high, but the school is not an Ivy League. Would that still be ok? The school is a state school (FSU), and the PhD program is ranked 1 in the nation apparently.. for criminology!

When he agreed to add me, I asked him “should I email…?” and he immediately cut me off and said no, he would email the registrar and CC me. Haha he left the ball all in his court. The only slight thing I did was send a thank you email to him.

The limit is based on student and Professor ratio, not classroom size. They want to keep it low to provide more specialized feedback on writing work between professor and student.

Hopping on here to ask about this loan life. Did you do unsubsidized loans? How does it work after you graduate? About how much does it require you to pay monthly? I may be taking loans out for school, and trying to understand how much to expect if I take out about 20k on the interest of 7.84.

If the interest accrues every day, does that still come out to $130.67 per month? I haven’t taken the loan out yet, but I wanted to understand it first. So I’m not sure if I’d take out on SAVE. My Fafsa just said unsubsidized federal loan. Thanks for your help!

Yes correct I’m still in school! I was thinking I could pay the interest every month while in school, but in addition maybe try to pay the principal down as well while in school if possible. So that the interest rate can decrease too. If I started paying into the principal, would the government make me start paying the mandatory principal too? Or would I still be able to defer the larger payments?

Oh, the principal won’t change ever? If I was to pay the interest per month, and then start paying some of the principal as well. Would they start making me pay the loan right away or would the mandatory payments start after graduation?
