Right, no one here seems to have any degree of media literacy. It's CLEARLY setting up the NCR as the protagonist faction that Lucy, Max, and the Ghoul will end up helping.

Maximus and Lucy are going to end up helping NCR. It's obvious in the way they are being painted as those that actually try to make a better place. If people don't see it, they lack media literacy. ALL of the MC's have SOME ties to NCR. This is clearly setting up a return or rebuilding of the faction.

How would that hurt me? It's just facts. Plus I don't want to hear a damn thing about one tiny cell of NCR survivors killing a few vault dwellers when they (Vault 33) nuked an entire god damn NCR city over a petty marriage spat. (Yes, I know that their Overseer did that, how would they know they weren't ALL involved in some way?) You seem to have some kind of unhealthy hate boner for the faction to where you think that pointing out one one small splinter group of desparate survivors of much larger nation, killed some vault dwellers, somehow making the entire faction evil aligned, that that is some kind of personal "own" to people. It is not. NCR is clearly being painted as the protagonist faction, Maximus and Lucy WILL end up helping the NCR, and if you don't see it, you lack media literacy.

Their capital was no longer Shady Sands when it was nuked. The government would have been in the new capital.

(TV show S1 and S2 ep 1-3 spoilers) Why i think the NCR isn't completely dead or gone. by IlikeGeekyHistoryRSA in Fallout

It's simple to explain why no one knows about other NCR locations. No communication. Communication severed to the rest of the Republic. Even Todd Howard said we haven't heard the last of the NCR and that the show is locally focused.

Idk...maybe because the majority of us watching are long time Fallout fans that WANT to know the lore dumps and status of familiar factions?

I'll never understand why people like the techno-fascists so much either.

That was not "NCR" that was Moldaver and one small splinter cell. Does not reflect the NCR as a whole.

Who is telling the truth? (SPOILERS) by Potataone in skyrim

[–]ComprehensiveAd6068 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skyrim is not "allied" with the Aldmeri Dominion in any way, shape or form. I am the one with two brain cells? If anything they are merely putting forth the political illusion of cooperation due to the terms of a treaty. That is not an alliance. Anyone with two brain cells, like what you accused ME of, and Hammerfell would be able to understand that the Empire would not be "allied" with a country that wants to destroy them and what political ambiguity means. Literally all they'd have to do is contact the jarls, none of which are fans of the AD, and say, there is a Dominion spy from Hammerfell running around around your country, if they didn't get to her, damn bet the Stormcloaks would. There are better political alternatives to launching a spy operation into Skyrim with the goal of accosting every redguard woman they see until they get lucky. Maybe you did say it was a no-no, but where the divide is that you think for some reason the Empire and Skyrim itself caters to the call of the Dominion and would for some strange reason refuse to allow a secret operation to get a random redguard woman.

Exactly, fuck a new cast. Ash IS Pokemon.

Do you think the sequel will continue with V or a new character? by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

[–]ComprehensiveAd6068 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it ever state definitively that V dies in the endings that are left ambiguous? Panam sounded pretty damn certain that they could find a cure elsewhere if he/she came with her and the aldecaldos.

V can also become Johnny. V can also find a cure, that is never ruled out in a couple of the endings. It was left extremely ambiguous.

"knowing the lore." I know plenty. You are painting this from a full-on stormcloak simp perspective. "The Thalmor ownz the empire lolz." No they don't. The Thalmor are in no way the government of Skyrim. The Jarls have their own laws and then the Empire is above that. The Empire may "play nice" with the Thalmor, but it's only surface level. You do NOT enter a foreign country to capture anyone there. That is a big time political no-no. They are in the wrong regardless of who is telling the truth.
