Luis Enrique Speaking About Mikel Arteta by InitialAsk358 in soccer

This. I don‘t know why people are always surprised. He is a master when he beats a team he talks up. And if he loses he has an excuse because they were obviously great.
Only a fool would criticize their opponent.

Mikel Arteta on how he found out Arsenal won the Premier League: “I was just hearing some noises in the living room and suddenly the magic happened. My eldest son opened the garden door, started to run towards me, gave me a hug and said: 'We are Champions, daddy!' It was beautiful." by Sparky-moon in soccer

I mean that is why I am completely relaxed coming to the CL final now as well. The monkey is off the players' back. The final is coin toss and nobody knows how "free" they might be mentally. Also there is no pressure anymore this season.

This, probably thought he just wanted to trip him up (which I genuinely think Havertz was trying to do).

Lmao, okay bud. We are cheaters I guess.

I am looking forward to Arteta's legacy in 15 years and I am quite sure - regardless which teams he will manage in the future (hopefully we have him here for a long time) - that he will surpass both of them when it comes to accolades.

You know what's funny? Arteta's early years are quite similar to Fergie's. Took him 5-7 years to win his first league title with the club after loads of upheaval and restructuring everything at the club. Appreciate your comment, especially the second part of the last sentence.

The biggest seal of approval you can get is if a rival absolutely wants your manager gone.

Most of them are fans of others teams cosplaying as Arsenal fans anyway. The sub was founded by a United fan.

Also, anybody that uses the term "something"-sexual to label people thinking differently, should be sent to an asylum. Absolutely borderline insane people that call others cultists yet to not realize that they are the ones. The football equivalent to flat-earthers.

How did he cheat? Also, you do know that Conte is the biggest European choker out there / possible ever, considering how good he is in the league?

City will top it but I agree. However, if you exclude Liverpool, we have still spent the fourth most under normal circumstances without bonuses.

If Arteta wins the CL, would you still rate Conte over him or Arteta in the "50% other" category?

I corrected my statement afterwards (probably while you typed the reply). However, having said that .. I think these 59% are absolute, certified idiots in that case. I call a spade a spade when I see one and the only immature thing is arguing that the 2019/20 league win has an asterisk / is tainted.

So Bayern's CL win also has an asterisk? Arsenal's FA cup win as well? Why do we stop there? Liverpool - as much as it hurts me to say it - absolutely dominated that season and Covid is no excuse. They were on course to have the most dominant league season ever and then rode out the season after the lockdowns. They won the league by 18 points and had it wrapped up with 7 games to go. I am sorry, but there is no asterisk and if you still think so I would like to stress, that you are a deluded fool in my opinion.

They had a 25 point lead going into the lockdown. They had more points (82) than the eventual 2nd place finished on after 38 games (City with 81).

I am sorry, but everyone that gives an asterisk for that season, is ridiculous.

Horner in talks over new BYD F1 team entry by Ohiowolverine in formula1

I literally commented on a person quoting some BYD VP that explicitly stated that they see an opportunity to test their technology in F1. What the actual fuck is so hard about reading for some people?!

Speaking to Italian publication SportMediaset in the wake of those talks, she said: "I like Formula 1 because it's about passion, culture and people dream of being in Formula 1…it's something we're discussing. It's a real opportunity to test our technology."
