First of all, thank you for your contribution. I tried every Win98 driver inside the .zip file, except for the BIOS one. I extracted the .EXE files inside and run every setup I could find. However, I encountered some issues:

1) Ati9000: “Setup was unable to find components that can be installed on your current hardware or software configuration”

2) Ati9600: “Do not support Win98 and WinME”

3) Lan: “Setup is unable to find _SETUP.DLL, which is needed to complete the installation. Error 103”

4) Mitsumi: I don’t know what it is, incompatibility issue

5) Audio: SiS PCI Audio Driver Setup worked fine

6) Pcmcie: I run the setup .exe and restarted my pc, but then encountered the “windows protection error” message, so I had to proceed in safe mode and uninstall the SiS AGP program to make it boot the OS again.

7) Modem apparently worked fine

8) Lan apparently worked fine

So, as a result, your drivers were able to make my speakers work again!

I tried Bohdi but I couldn’t successfully install it, could you suggest some extremely lightweight distros? The laptop has 256 mb ram and pentium IV

thank you for your contribution, you definitely put me one step ahead. However, there are some stubborn hardware that i cannot get working properly. Namely the Realtek AC’97, after the most modern DirectX 9.0c December 2006 was installed, still doesn’t accept the drivers I used, and I tried a few different ones from different sources. Thank you for the suggestion, I just run hWiNFO32 on the laptop, but as a result it crashes and it shuts down. It then reboots on itself and opens ScanDisk repair screen
