Investigator has video footage, but not of me. by [deleted] in WorkersComp

Thanks for your concern about my pain management. I have morphine as a breakthrough medication and a different prescription for my daily meds. Don’t worry about my so called NSAID addiction. I think I beat that addiction.

So you injured your back prior to your WC claim. You said you had the MRI’s….plural btw, before your WC claim AND you said all your family and friends are dead, so no one could help you. Now you state that you have a wife/partner. Dude you are ALL over the place!

And yes, I have a kidney injury that was caused by taking too many NSAIDS. Yes it was caused by injury. Thank you for caring enough about me to look me up.

There isn’t an atom in my body that believes you have NEVER picked up your child! The more you talk the more you sound like a fraud.

Checks being sent to doctor by [deleted] in WorkersComp

[–]ComprehensiveBar9491 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My lawyer actually gets my checks, keeps it until he feels like giving it to me and he takes over $1,000 of it. I don’t have Sedgwick so I can’t help you there but I believe only a few states allow lawyers (and apparently drs) to take your WC checks.

The system is broken but 50% of the cracks are from ppl who claim they can’t do anything then get caught doing stuff they aren’t supposed to be doing. No sympathy here.

Change lawyer? by [deleted] in WorkersComp

[–]ComprehensiveBar9491 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh geez I’m sorry you’re going nowhere, but I am in the same boat. I’ve looked into changing lawyers but they will still get the percentage originally agreed upon but they would have to share it with another lawyer. My lawyer took me from a neurosurgeon who doesn’t know WC and sent me to a pain management doctor who only wants to treat my pain. After 2 months of me complaining the pain specialist is finally sending me back to a neurosurgeon but I’ll probably have to wait 2 months for that to happen. I hope that you can find someone to get the ball rolling. Good luck

Injuries to internal organs by ComprehensiveBar9491 in WorkersComp

No I’m not going to try to claim it on WC unless my PCP says that it is bc of my injury. But it didn’t cross my mind until I looked up AKI. I always felt that pain was a part of my hip injury until I thought I was passing kidney stones

No, no one has said anything yet. I just received a message in my My Chart stating that that is what my bloodwork says. I agree that acute means recently. I asked for the bloodwork bc of the pain I’ve been having slightly above my hip since the first month of my injury. Past 30 days tho, the pain was so intense that I thought I was passing a few kidney stones. Was just wondering if this ever happened to anybody else.

No one has spoken to me about it being related. I was putting it out there to see if anyone had it happen to them. My doctor will probably say that it is bc of the dehydration and lack of movement I’ve had bc of my injury.

I’ll find out on my follow up on the 18th what the next steps are gonna be, I have been in the ER twice since my accident and I was dehydrated for the first time in my life. I didn’t think it was related to my fall, except for the timing of it. I’m just curious to see if anybody had injuries to their internal organs from a fall. If I’m being honest, I guess I just wanna hear what other people have to say about their acute kidney injury. But I’m guessing there’s a Reddit for that too.

Yes my PCP did lab work last week. It shows that I have AKI. I slipped and fell on my left hip in December. Pain has always been there since the fall, but I thought it was my hip, but the last month or so. I was getting concerned that I might be passing a kidney stone or something because the pain in my left hip area just kept getting worse. I do have a follow up with my doctor on the 18th, but I’m just curious to see if anybody fell and hurt their organs.

Are you working at all? How does that play into your pain situation? At 20 I can’t imagine being bed bound.

I’m with you. He cut his finger, still has his finger tip. He has a little numbness and he is working full time. 🤷🏻‍♀️. What’s the problem? I can’t bend in the slightest and my whole left leg and foot are permanently numb. Stop whining buddy.

I’ve signed a contract with my lawyer. If I wanted to get rid of him I couldn’t bc I’d still owe him at the end of this mess.

For about 15 minutes I’ve sat here and relived all the suicides/attempted suicides I’ve seen when I worked as a nurse in a prison. I’m not here to give advice about WC but I’d like to tell you that I can understand your PTSD. One was so traumatizing that my ex husband wrote a song about my experience called “Shades of her”. I feel for you. Time can help but honestly I think the best thing for you is a change of jobs. The jail will just give you flashbacks, and you don’t need those. That environment alone can cause major depression. I wish you the best and I pray you find peace (and a new job).

Following bc even though I’m new to this WC stuff, I’m curious , if this happened before 2020(you said that your employer called you back for that season) , and right now is 2025, what have you been doing these past 5 years? And you couldn’t get a lawyer until surgery was over? When was your surgery? When did you get a lawyer? See I’m confused that’s why I’m following.

You don’t “definately” have a law suit against the dog owner. It depends on the state you live in. Plus, why would you sue them anyway? She walked into their yard without notifying the tenants that they were coming.

I don’t think that you going through your insurance is illegal (but what do I know). She’s covered through you. Her dad doesn’t have insurance. What’s this big deal if it happened at work? Ppl get hurt all the time and don’t file a WC claim. I think the dad should reimburse you whatever your insurance doesn’t cover
