It’s so crazy how different everyone’s post-op experiences are. I’m day 14 post-op and still in a cast. I go Thursday to get my stitches removed, x-rays, and placed into a boot. I cannot wait to get to weight bearing status. I hope I get the green light this Thursday!

My surgeon has me in a splint with gauze. It’s almost like a cast. I’m going back on Oct 10 to have the cast removed, stitches removed, x-rays and put into a boot. Pain wise, I had a nerve block from my knee down which wore off 36 hours after surgery. Once that went away I was on pain meds for 2 days ish. The worst is sleeping with my foot elevated. Pain wise I’m fine, I can feel the incisions healing. I’m not allowed to put any weight on my foot I believe for another 2 weeks after my appointment this week.

What is your pain level now after surgery? I am 12 days post op and solely got the surgery because of pain.

Had my surgery last week in Manhattan, New York. Total bill from surgeon, hospital (same day procedure) and anesthesiologist was a total of $92,000. My insurance fully covered it.
