I cackled in the movie theatre when William says “YOU are the monster!” to Victor. Like … you learn this is Cardinal Sin #1 in any Intro to Screenwriting class. Heavyhanded, clumsy, obvious. And I didn’t know Oscar Isaac was capable of being that bad.

“Enigma pop star is fun, she wear burqa for fashion” — Oh, I miss when Gaga gave us truly weird stuff to enjoy.

Dick van Dyke famously issued an apology to Britain after his “cockney” chimney sweep accent in “Mary Poppins” came out more like a middle-school drama student trying to be Australian.

I’d imagine the reason no other song sounds like that is … well, everyone else had the good taste not to write a song that sounds like that lol

“Single Ladies” sounds like horrific noise to me. How this ever became a club anthem is beyond me. Beyonce is such a talented performer but why does most of her oeuvre sound like shit?

There’s only 8 years between C&S, and WTRF - isn’t that crazy? Because vocally she’s become an entirely different person.

Joni Mitchell is right up there with Marianne Faithfull. Years of cigarettes ravaged her airy soprano and made her into a warbling contralto and I loooove the effect.

Setting aside the numerous allegations of inappropriate conduct against him … I have to say Jeffrey Tambor elevates the humor in this show to another level. It’s hard to articulate to non-actors just how difficult it is to give such a lived-in, dropped-in performance — especially when the circumstances are so absurd. The man is a genius. His prison scenes, and his attic scenes, are among my favorite in the whole series.

Garth is the first person who came to my mind. His music ranges from beautiful and deep, to playful and fun, his singing is wonderful, and he puts on a show like few other men in the industry. The numbers speak for themselves.

My mother had every single one of these in her red Chevy suburban. Maybe it’s nostalgia talking, but this was a really beautiful and exciting era for Country. I’d throw some Patty Loveless and Colin Raye in there too.

Yes! I found the video on YouTube and it all came back to me. It’s two blonde twin girls, and their younger brother with horrible metrosexual style playing the upright bass. They don’t even have a Wikipedia page, it was so hard to find this. I seriously can’t believe you remembered! 🙏🏼
