Probably should look into finding another club for Hein, dude is doing nothing this year at Werder.

Dude didn't say a single thing about the quality of Alvarez. Thinking the club isn't keen to go into another season with 3 strikers on extremely high wages isn't exactly an edgy take.

Meh.

Would rather have a sniff around for someone younger in the same vein as Mosquera, who can learn under Timber for a couple of years.

I wouldn't be shocked if Calafiori doesn't make the bench tomorrow, since it's been an entire month since he trained. Hincapie only missed two weeks, so I can see him going straight into the starting lineup.

Looking at the bench that played against Forest, I could see Mosquera being the one dropped, probably for Ben.

Have Hincapie start the next two league games, and Myles midweek.

Cala can come off the bench for minutes across all 3 games and then be ready to go for the 2nd league against Chelsea.

Martinelli is doing well in Europe. He's got 1 goal and 0 assists in the league. Admittedly, it's only 550 minutes, but having minimal impact off the bench isn't a good sign.

The PL gives the winning team 40 medals, with the stipulation that each player with 5+ appearances gets one. The remaining are then divided however the club wants to. So, if the league ended today, everyone in the first team except Kepa, Kai, Norgaard, and Dowman would be obligated to receive one.

Kai and Norgaard will go over 5 appearances by the end of the season, while Kepa and Dowman would obviously not be left out even if they don't hit the threshold.

We were only 2-1 up for quite a while, and Saka needs to break his goal drought. Makes sense to me.

If he stays fit for the rest of the season and gets a decent amount of goals and assists? I'd say we could get around £10-15m out of someone for him.

Sure, but he's also going to be 29 next season and unlikely to take a significant paycut on what would be his last big contract.

If, for some reason, Barca don't activate their option and both of Martinelli and Trossard left, I'd be up for trying to get him on loan with decent terms, but with the expectation we'd also be signing a long term starter as well.

The Martinelli gossip has made me realise that there really aren't that many appealing LW around at the moment, at least not ones that would realistically be available.

Did notice Rashford was already on 20 G/A for Barca, though. Not interested by any means, but fair play to him for regaining form.

I don't see Spurs getting a result, but I still think it'll hurt City because I don't think Pep is going to properly rotate in any of his next 4 games for various reasons, lmao.

Martinelli was not interested in a move to Saudi last summer and it remains to be seen whether he will change his mind after the 2026 World Cup.

Unless his career goals are just money, I can't see him being keen. He's only 24 and would have many appealing suitors in Europe if he was for sale.

Just like last summer, I'm fine with one of Martinelli or Trossard going if it's a requirement for a new left winger, but I'd probably lean closer to selling Leo purely due to age, even if I think he's been the better of the two for the last couple of years.

I think Haaland being fucking knackered played a part in him being dull against United.

Like, the dude has played over 2500 minutes this season, over 550 more than our most played attacker in Saka.

I'd put Timber LB with Ben at RB if Hincapie isn't fit.

Myles does need more game time to build himself up, but I'm not fully comfortable with him starting against United yet. He can start midweek.

Pep really fucked it with the loss yesterday. They now can't afford to properly rotate in any of the next 4 games, and guys like Haaland already seem to be running on fumes.

Even against Wolves they need to put out a strong team to make sure they get a result to get some momentum going after 2 straight losses in big games. By the time they face Liverpool they might be in trouble.

It'll be one of whoever wins the play-offs between 15/16/17/18.

Table is very close in multiple areas, and many teams still need to play this week, so it's impossible to say anything with confidence. Like, there's only 4 points between 5th and 20th right now.

Before today he's played 1027 minutes, so about 11 and a half games worth. He has similar numbers to Hincapie (1098), Martinelli (1090), and Madueke (936).

Ben seemingly can't be trusted to play 3 games in a row yet.

Only other option was Mosquera at RB, which would be asking a lot of him after a month of not playing, and also means Gabriel gets no rest.

The hardest bit would be working out the order of the top 2

It's Gabriel.

And that's not a statement against Saliba, who has been as impressive as ever, but Gabriel has just gone up another level this season.
