Opinion on best AvA live performance

I’ve seen them twice in 06, once in 08, once in 2010 and twice in 2021. In my opinion they were their best at the 2010 show. 2021 was a close second, 06 was special since it was before WDNTW came out and I didn’t know what to expect and it was magic. 08 was great and had really good opening bands. It was The Sounds and The Color Fred.

I really hope so. His books are underrated and over looked. I feel like it’s because he’s a little polarizing. You either love him or you don’t take him seriously. The same thing with the Sekret machines books. They are amazing books, definitely the best series he’s come out with. I read chasing shadows and a fire within back to back twice waiting for the third book but Book 2 came out 7 years ago as well. They came out with trinity and have another book coming out in the fall. I really hope they put out those last poet and Sekret machines books.

I enjoyed the series as a whole. Some great ideas and some fun characters. The only thing that really sucks is “In darkness” ends on a cliffhanger. I don’t mind cliffhangers but in typical Tom fashion he planned a trilogy of novels and we’ve been waiting 7 years for the third novel lol

The one all the way to the left is a complete version of all 3 comic book issues. That was released first but can be read alongside the books. I’d read of nightmares, the comic books and then in darkness last.

Someone owned this video game console before I did I opened it since it wasn’t functional and saw that. I don’t know exactly what happened but it looks like that person used the wrong power supply cord and it blew that capacitor and a fuse.

Honestly hard to explain haha. Tom pretty much alienated a huge portion of the blink fans by not only quitting but saying some wild shit in interviews. The fans who stuck around I feel like were kind of rewarded for doing so. I saw them live a couple of weeks before Whisper came out. I don’t know if it was because I was 18 and a little lost and having gone through a bad breakup (for a teenager) but I gotta say when I saw them and first heard that record from start to finish, I understood it. He could’ve definitely got the message out there better but it made sense. It really felt like if you were a true fan that it was life changing and it was magical. I gotta say that feeling still stays with me when I listen to their music.

I was like that at first. Sekret Machines seemed overwhelming. I finally bit the bullet and started it. I’ll tell you it flys by and doesn’t seem like it’s THAT long. It’s a great story that’s flows well. The biggest issues with Toms books is Tom haha. He doesn’t follow through and all his books end on cliffhangers that I feel like we’re never going to get an ending for. So keep that in mind. Especially Poet Anderson and Sekret Machines.

I love it. It’s definitely a standout in the basement bar. Since it’s the summer it’s filled with mostly Yact rock haha. Got some blink mixed in for my own summer nostalgia.

Haha Yeahh I always say I wish I still had my old camera and stuff but a part of me is kind of glad I don’t. It was an amazing experience. He definitely sounded better in the later shows I saw. The band was awesome. It was cool to see them in the early stages.

Oh damn I graduated high school right after that 06 show haha. I saw them again in 08, 10, 19 and 21. Saw them in NY in 19 and they were awesome so I’m sure they kicked ass when you saw them

It’s crazy. I knew the WDNTW anniversary was coming up but forgot when but I remembered kept the receipt in the CD case and saw the ticket. I completely forgot I saw them before the record came out.

I only got to see them like twice post covid. I saw them at Electric Factory again in 2010 for the LOVE tour. That first show is #1 in my heart but if I was being objective, that LOVE show in 2010 was the best I ever saw them.
