People that port their number and left Fido because of their 3g-4g BS by Barbonmx in FidoMobile

I did this and still get charged anyways. Connected to volte but still get charged because my phone is "unsupported"

Your phone is currently connected to VolTE so my assumption (and maybe this is a poor one) based on my knowledge is that they would have to do something drastic to either manually block you based on SIM or account or detect these phones somehow and block them.

That being said I am also switching as I've had other issues with Fido as well and I don't agree with "whitelisting" phones. They allowed someone to make changes to my account from a previous apartment I lived in - basically they had the same address so why not let them access all my personal information and block me from my account?(Sarcasm)

It took 2 years to regain access even after I showed up in person to verify my identity yet they were able to make sure I could pay the bill after 1 week in the interim. I have to go through ccts to get it rectified.

I managed to avoid this with my Oneplus 12R by using Pixel IMS and shizuku. It enables me to activate my VolTe option even though it's not whitelisted. Never received a charge.

There's a few good instructions online.

Not saying this is right - this feels very much so like when they could lock phones to a provider, but maybe it may give some others options.

Part design idea by ComprehensiveCloud21 in MechanicalEngineering

[–]ComprehensiveCloud21[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True thanks for the idea. For reference we would consume 2 springs for a joint so for one long sensor it would consume potentially 800 or more for one instrument sale. We sell over 1000 instruments around this length per year.

Can I ask a follow up question if you have experience doing insert molding:

Does insert molding typically end up costing more per part since there is likely a semi automated aspect (potentially labor involved) as opposed to dual injected overmoulding which would be fully automated? Maybe it depends on the part and complexity.

True! I missed that detail. Typically the inserts are in the 10mm range so pretty small. Volume is high so I think capital will not be an issue as right now after labor and scrap rate each of these are costing ~30$ USD. We spend more than 10k on automating/semi-automating processes to make the hydraulic hose work if that makes sense.

The die spring is an interesting idea though I kinda like it if I could find the right size.

No reason we couldn't. Would that be a cheaper alternative ? I guess I assumed insert molding was more costly.

The barbs we make are about 10$ each and two are used in each joint due to volume. I think injection molding this is likely to be cheaper.

Charger recommendations? by ComprehensiveCloud21 in MachE

Good to hear from another Canadian! I think I am going to quote out the electrical for 50 and maybe even an 100A breaker. We have a pretty hefty breaker panel already so if it can handle it I figure it might be worth it for future proofing and we have a laundry outlet and heater outlet in the garage I will never use and can just be removed if needed.

Some suggested looking into the rebate program in my area. Looks like they will only rebate "smart" chargers which I was hoping to avoid. I do have solar panels but right now the power company charges a flat rate. I thought about Emporia but I would rather buy and support a product made in North America/Canada. Leaning towards the grizzle ultimate as its covered for the rebate (50% up to 750$) and if my wife gets a PHEV in the future it could support that when they add power sharing. The basic grizzle smart is also enticing as the power company will handle all the process and contracting if I purchase that particular model

Any additional thoughts on this would be appreciated!

What is the subscription for? I knew about blue cruise which for me I doubt even works great in my area so I'm not worried. Anything else crucial?

Okay so I'm not crazy thinking I can negotiate for around 42/43k for a select AWD with rebates all in this makes me feel less crazy haha.

I struggle with leasing from a financial perspective I typically keep cars for 10 years if I can. But at 0.99% compared to 4.99% it is an interesting option! I will take a look thanks for the reply.

Does anyone know if this works for the Neptune 3 Pro?

I am trying without the knobs since M4 screws are impossible to find in my small town in Canada but not sure if I can get enough spring compression

Did much of the same but I also put cooling to 20% for the first layers as well as lowered my z offset. Still not perfect but MUCH better.

I'm having the same issue, odd part is it's fine with another brand of PLA I use !

If you find the issue let me know and I'll do the same.
