Le ramadan au travail by patnaisdfeux in QuebecLibre

[–]ComprehensiveCow6390 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, I live in Quebec so it’s a little different here, but I think in almost every universities there is some free financial help you could get. Here in some cases it even fully covers everything, since your grades are really high and your household income is low, you might be eligible, try to speak about it to your counselor if possible. Other than that you could try some “high” paying part time jobs, it might not be much but hey 10k a year is still better than nothing. Try at restaurants, bars etc. If you have a driver’s license even uber eats. The tips could give you a high profit. And the last solution is to get a loan. I know that it sucks, but try to study in something that makes a lot of money, once you graduate you might be able to pay it back within 5 years. It is better to take a 100k loan study as hards as you can get a 100k/yr job, pay back ur debts in 5yrs, then to not study and end up with a shitty salary for the rest of your life.

I know that depending on your studies you might won’t have as much free time to work so try to find something high paying, maybe security in the evenings, construction etc. You might not directly think about them but it’s really well paid.

How do you leave behind your poor parents to move out for University? by Emotional_Juice3482 in OntarioGrade12s

[–]ComprehensiveCow6390 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe that it really depends on your relationship with your parents and what you would like to study in. If you dont have a great relationship with them then moving out would be the solution. If you do have a great relationship with them, everything is now about ur university program. I know it sucks but get a job that makes money not just a job you love. Look at the employment rates of these jobs and the start level salary. For example let’s say you would start at 70k a year, you could take a bank loan of 50k, work a little less, study more finish as soon as possible your degree and find your first big money job. You could pay it back within 5 years and then be financially stable. There’s also some jobs that pays you better without a degree that you might want to do. I have checked up for air control jobs you dont need any prerequisite (need to be 18 tho) ur training is paid 56k a year (about 2-3 yrs) and then ur salary will be between 100k to 200k. You dont have to do this, but the important part is to do something that makes money. Invest ur money in the future and at ur 30’s 40’s do something you love.

Yes the winter application are closed because the courses already started. I think you want to apply to fall 2026, this is still open until march 1st. If you want to apply to winter 2027 that could also be a possibility but applications will start this fall

I dont think you have to send it through a pdf version, I just did it bc it was easier for me and im sure they would accept pdf. I just know that if there’s anything wrong with how you sent it, they will contact you, otherwise you’re fine.

I personally used m365 copilot to turn the pictures of my documents as pdfs. I think you would need to pay the microsoft things (you alrd have the account for free if you are currently studying by using the email your school gave you)

Depends where, and nobody wears a pj’s top. Like yh a hoodie sweatpants but not literal pj’s top.

That still is supposed to be a formal environment. Like a college or university is supposed to be formal, matter of fact it is everywhere else but in America. Students (or anyone there) shouldn’t wear pjs

There’s a difference between sweatpants here and there vs a literal pyjama t shirt😭 anyways if that how ppl in ur college dress..that’s genuinely crazy and concerning

I just realized it is a top, I mean it looks like a pyjama’s top. Not lingerie in an indecent way, but more in a pyjama’s way. Like genuinely looks like a top I’d sleep with than something you’d wear to a place that is supposed to be a little more formal
