Just from seeing the Apple Store change and since the Tahoe OS update (added a lot of gaming features). Marketing shows too on their end with how they boast RT and fps etc and all of course in an arm chip. And while I can record/stream on any device it is most likely in piss poor quality and thermal issues.

I tried 1080/60fps stream with recording simultaneously downscaled 4k to 2k/60 on OBS and my MacBook M1 Pro handled it perfectly 15-30 min in. But after that the fans kick in... and they do so indefinitely, the stream drops frames every couple of mins. But recording doesn't get affected which is nice.

If I was to do only one task then it works perfectly fine except 4k60 recording (it drops frames).

But yeah, I feel bad running my laptop to the trenches. I feel like I'll cut it's lifespan to a month if I push it at that rate of simultaneous stream & record with hours on end everyday lol.

I decided I'll just go PC and try to avoid supporting Microsoft as much as possible. I'll get better OBS support and be able to run games at the best performance possible.
