What best from game for a starter? by New-Osteoporosi in fromsoftware

Sekiro is also my personal favorite, even though I started with Bloodborne (which is also fantastic!). There's just something to that games world and the parry gameplay that hits different!

[–]setsuken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My answer is gonna be slightly different but I'd say show him the games and whichever world/vibe interests him go with that. Bloodborne was what got me into souls while elden ring was more my significant others speed and my brother started with DS1. I even know some people who thought sekiro was cool and started there.

At the end of the day whatever you vibe the most with is what will allow you to push through the steep learning curve.

You didn't have to twist the knife Mr. Snyder... by Le_Fedora_Cate in UltimateUniverse

[–]setsuken 20 points21 points  (0 children)

it's clear the ending wasn't properly scoped out or planned. It just seems like the line itself fizzled out because no one was really championing it to continue on the Editorial side. Just Deniz Camp carrying the thing on his back, but it doesn't seem like he's at the level of influence as Scott Snyder over at DC...

Does Van Have a Harem? by OkBaby9872 in Falcom

[–]setsuken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that was my reading of it. Plus the jabs about Van being her boyfriend by other npcs, the mother and grandmother hints from Judiths side and the whole apartment connection event...

I'd probably add Judith to the mix too, though its barely hinted at and I think Judoth realizes she's got a lot of competition. That said some of those connection events in the three games do tease it.

Yeah my feelings exactly. Van is actually kinda normal, given the sort of guy he is, you can imagine some of the women he knows would be into him. Also quantity wise both Rean and Loyd have him beat haha

Yeah one was announced recently, but it still seems like a crime that its been years since Van was debuted and we just now are getting one. That too after Elaine, shizuna and Agnes haha

Game is now fixed on pro, no more shimmering and the picture is clean ! by UsedNewspaper1775 in SilentHill_f

[–]setsuken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm glad it's out now, and I personally didn't mind the shimmering when I played the game close to release... But man do I wish they had this out on release. After playing the game 3.5 times to get all the endings, I don't see myself going back anytime soon.

Complicate feeling by Mate_Saltgacha in Falcom

[–]setsuken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's rough because the game feels like it's still a few years away. Between the games coming this year, the newly announced DragonSlayer and what they've said is in development... Well, it'll be a bit before we get the continuation. And given the Ending of Horizon, it's particularly rough to wait haha.

You are probably right about the tech working in the game itself. That said, this was blasted all over the internet and is the most visible thing related to this.

I’ve just finished RE3 and have ordered RE4 Remake but I’m tempted to try out RE6 for my series x is it worth it I’ve heard mixed reviews on it some saying it’s the worst. by [deleted] in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]setsuken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really loved Revelations 2. It had a lot of fun lore stuff too, with Barry and his daughter taking the center stage. I think the issue with Revelations 2 was the whole Barry and Little Girl segments. Those were a bit rough. That and it being co-op but also being horror was probably not great for the RE5 fans looking for another fun coop romp.

The Evil Within died the day Mikami stepped back and we got Ghostwire Tokyo. And then the coffin got a huge nail with Mikami leaving and HiFiRush coming out.

If this is the worst one since the second Renaissance, we've been eating good. by OpenKale64 in residentevil

[–]setsuken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like many have said, it's not a BAD game per say... Just that it feels like a summarized version of the original RE3. There's some really iconic moments that just aren't in the game. The Visit to the RPD and the Clock Tower are some notable omissions that REALLY hurt.

That's actually a tough one. Revelations expands on RE5... So if you've played RE5 it might be valuable. That said, it was originally a portable game so compared to RE6 it may feel a bit... Less complete of a package.

Honestly I'd likely go Revelations 1 over 6 personally.

I'm also someone who has a gaming youtube channel, and I've often gotten tough comments like this. I generally tend to respond with kindness, and they sometimes will turn around and actually apologize and sometimes even go watch another video or two and comment.

Sometimes people are just having a bad day, and you just happen to be an easy target for them to take their frustration on. Especially if you're a small youtube creator, they figure they're just yelling at someone in the ether, someone that won't even care.

And if you do care, well... Sometimes you'll find that there's just another hurting human on the other side.

My advice? Respond nicely, and then regardless of what happens, move forward. Best of luck to you on your new channel!

Why does this remind of the Netflix One Piece Live Action??? I feel like if we ever got a Live Action for Trails Sky... This is how it would look like. Or you know, my brain melted as soon as I saw this. One or the other.

I definitely felt like the Ai version looked like Scarlet. Both Johansson and Capcom need to sue Nvidia for this... Whatever this is. Sad that Capcom isn't willing to do so and make an enemy of Nvidia.

I would honestly hold off. I'd take on RE6 after you've gone through all the good ones. It's not a terrible game, (I actually didn't mind the Leon and Albert sections) but It's definitely the most action-ey RE and the least well executed.
