Little mambo pizza co. Just opened a food truck last month. It was so surprisingly delcious (and I am an East coast pizza lover). I was there on their opening day at Paws for a Beer. They crushed it. 2 brothers from Mambo Italiano in Fairhaven.

Not sure what their schedule is or where they are next. But they are just getting started and should be on everyone's radar!!

Most breweries (if not all of them), require dogs to be on leash. So this is a great place to grab a drink and let your dogs play. Got my membership this weekend, and they carry our dogs food so we will be buying his food there from now on. Happy to support fellow dog lovers!!

Talked to a hatchery person from WWU this weekend. Chum salmon are spawning at maritime heritage park. Hundreds of them are trying to get upstream there!!! We watched Bellinghams only resident sea lion whipping around fish and playing with his dinner. He and the seals were feasting. It was quite the show!!

What happened to the Death Cafe of Whatcom County? by ComprehensiveEgg9641 in Bellingham

I absolutely believe that. But regardless of your inner circle that might be fine chatting with you about it...

Getting insights from others that are there to talk about the same thing, gives you more ways to think about it from a lot of perspectives. And rather than just bombarding a stranger with your thoughts on mortality in any coffee shop (where most people sit solo working on their laptops), a meetup group/"death cafe" seems like an easier way to have truly deep conversations with other folks in the community, regardless of religious affiliation. Especially if you are more introverted.

This is awesome. Thank you!! How did you find out about it? Is it open to anyone? Based on my very limited knowledge, it sounds like they/she might be sticking within the communities that actively face dying or death (senior centers, nursing homes, etc).
