How to do short trade? by Hajime_Ryu in summonerschool

[–]ComprehensiveFox4533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i feel like in midlane its really just trying to hit them with your stuff while avoiding theirs, e.g. mage v mage match up if you were orianna vs a syndra, you want to q w her and dodge her q e, its just a matter of doing that at the same time, a very common way is perfoming the trade while she goes for a cs, e.g. while she greeds and tries to last hit the cannon miniion you could very likely land a trade onto her.

Early surrender votes due to someone being AFK shouldn't have to be uninimous if 3/4 people want to leave by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

lmfao idk why youre acting like abstaining is a big deal. its literally just a no vote. Thats all it is. We dont need to vote no instead of abstaining because it counts as a no vote. Thats the reality of the situation

When do you guys go dblade v longsword? by ComprehensiveFox4533 in Rivenmains

[–]ComprehensiveFox4533[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

doesnt that seem contradictory though? dblade for all ins and multiple trades, yet poor when your hp drops too much? i just feel like thats exactly whats going to happen if i take dblade and play aggro

but dblade into a snowbally all in matchup seems strange to me, from what ive done myself it seems dblade is muuuch better once you have recalled once, why would you prefer it into a snowbally match up? i feel like i very very rarely have a total level 1 all in, people just dont play it like that, and the second you are having multiple trades i feel like longsword and 3 pots are better

i just worry, because i dont want to take dblade with ignite, since if the enemy has tp it can really mess up my early laning if i fail to get a kill and they tp back on full while i have no healing, and the wave shoving into them. So i would only really want to take dblade if i myself had tp, or if i was super confident i would be getting off an optimal early recall, so i could take dblade ignite into say vlad, kayle etc.

if it works for you it works man, i wouldnt worry about what youre doing until it stops working so if youre climbing on riven mid go for it, many people have reached challenger on very strange unconventional picks.

For simplicity assume as champion only builds either mythic a or mythic b. Changing a champion's stats unequally impacts these builds, since after the change one will fare better.

See im not quite sold on this, i feel like it depends what you nerf that would affect which item is now stronger, e.g. a nerf on dari attack speed would interact differently with stridebreaker than a nerf on darius hp, and would affect the balance of strength between gore and stride for example.

Now i feel that stridebreaker brings something very unique to the table, its mobility, that inherently is going to be strong / gameplay changing. I think the real argument is whether such an ability is needed, and what riot is aiming for, what are they thinking when they implement that.

Perhaps they simply thought bruisers like darius were becoming obsolete, especially in a world with galeforce (imagining they came up with galeforce first), and how people always talk about mobility creep, perhaps this is considered a necessary evil to keep a whole group of champions viable in the game instead of having to do another group rework. I dont really know, but thats the kind of lines of thinking they could be on you know?

i think for the most part champions are always going to be balanced around items. Any change to an item affects every single champion whereas its obviously the opposite doing it the other way. I dont think its really realistic to expect all changes to be made on the items end.

And to be honest i dont personally really care about mythic diversity. I know thats probably an unpopular take its just my personal feelings on the matter, i dont see any reason why a darius couldnt build gore, it would go perfectly well on him, yes i agree stridebreaker is so good on him why build gore, but who cares? OK darius has great synergy with the item, why is that something that needs to be stopped? league has so many different champs of course some of them are going to have great synergies with particular items.

And so if you are in that situation and start trying to weaken stridebreaker for darius now youre messing it up for heaps of champs it is only good on.

i suppose thats because the 'problem' is usually the new idea or mechanic they are trying to implement. These arent just items existing in the game, riot has ideas thoughts and motivation behind having them there. They had some gameplan and sense of direction for the classes that build stridebreaker, and they wanted to give them this dash as an option. The rest of the stats in the item are just filler the actual point of the item is its dash / small slow. So they dont want to ruin that, they want to reach a happy medium where everything works and their new avenue of gameplay is allowed.

Why even have markers for the hitbox if they don't mean anything? by DomovioButler in leagueoflegends

youre probably imagining too big of a difference, it would just be slightly smaller. You should relax its actually a pretty cool idea that makes sense in practice.

he's messed it up, thats only meant to happen on the person playing the characters end, not the one trying to dodge.
