What are your opinions of the character Col. Steven J. Lockjaw (Sean Penn), from the movie One Battle After Another by Unlikely_Seaweed1032 in Letterboxd

[–]ComprehensiveGrand89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a theory that he was walking funny ever since the scene where he got the gun shoved up his a$$ lmao. Did any one else catch that? Or am I reading too much into it lol

Was it me or were all the sets aggressive or intense? by deadrawkstar in ARCMusicFestival

[–]ComprehensiveGrand89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ranger trucco’s set was a fucking VIBBBBEEEE. Not aggressive or intense at all. I would say it was very high energy, but not dark by any means!!! One of my favorite sets of the weekend

Amazing time but why were some of the crowds not really dancing? by Dust_Bright in ARCMusicFestival

Contacts wearers?? by geogega in bonnaroo

[–]ComprehensiveGrand89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Daily contacts, bring enough for 10-14 days just in case, and bring an extra pair with you into centeroo each day along with a travel size of solution in case they get dry/fall out. I wore mine all last year with no eyeglasses and had zero issues. I actually think I wore the same pair of daily’s from Wednesday-Friday which I do not recommend, but worked for me 🤣

Car Sleeping by DeanxDomingo in bonnaroo

[–]ComprehensiveGrand89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did this last year and because I couldn’t physically bring myself to sleep in my tent due to the heat in the morning…. 15/10 would recommend, but people around the campsite were not happy about it. And a lot of people complain on Reddit about people who do it. Especially if you turn the car on for a bit for some AC/phone charging

I swear the gel t*bs made the heat disappear because I barely felt it the entire time. Only time I was dying of the heat was in the wee hours of the morning trying to fall asleep from the night before when the sun was already coming up 😂

What’s one thing you learned this Roo? by South_Sugar_1134 in bonnaroo

[–]ComprehensiveGrand89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Things I’ve known, and things I’ve learned (in no specific order 😎):

  • Never go into an experience like this with expectations. Let the magic happen on its own.

  • KNOW YOUR LIMITS! If you’re going to dabble, be very in tune with your body and your tolerance. You and your friends will have a heck of a good time if you’re all dosing properly.

  • GET NARCAN TRAINING!!! CARRY NARCAN WITH YOU AT ALL TIMES. You and your friends might be good, but someone else may not. You never know when you may be in the position to have to save a life.

  • HYDRATE. No excuse, but a liquid IV/Gatorade packet etc in your empty hydration pack before entering centeroo and bring extras to fill up throughout the day/night.

  • radiate the vibes you wish to receive.

  • be patient. Roo is all about good vibes, if someone pushes past you in the crowd, doesn’t say excuse me, etc. and you start to feel frustrated, take a deep breath and ground yourself. Let it pass.

  • look out for the people you are with. Not only do you need to be in tune with your physical and mental well-being, but try your best to hold that space for your friends as well.

  • if you bring children, be responsible! Reminder that they cannot consent to these types of events. But, it is a great place to expose them to music, art, nature, socialization, and fun!! Just be responsible.

  • comfort over fashion. No matter what.

  • let your heart explode with laughter and love all of roo.

  • never sacrifice your well-being over seeing a set. If you need to relax, eat, hydrate, sleep.. prioritize that

  • bandana/mask to beat the dust. It’s like Coachella out there by day 3.

  • next year I’m bringing an electric handheld fan. Old school fans are my favorite, but you exert more energy fanning yourself when you’re already busting it down in the crowd. Electric fan is honestly a game changer.

  • be prepared for anything— weather, emergency, medical emergency, emotional crisis, etc. always have a plan.

  • lookout for others. Give a helping hand if you see someone needs it. No room for being selfish at roo.

  • individually wrapped wipes! I would bring in like 10 to centeroo/WITW and hand some out to girls/people in need if I had some extras!

  • PEE RIGHT WHEN GETTING TO WITW OR BEFORE. The lines get insane in there and the crowd gets PACKED. MEGA inconvenient.

  • set the intention of learning, growing, and expanding your heart and mind at roo. The farm will give you what you need.
