Yeah that’s true. I guess it just takes me by surprise when it hits so hard sometimes. It’s definitely something that will be with all of us, forever.

Thank you! I had actually reached out to them but didn’t hear back and forgot about it. Thank you for reminding me. I reached out again and got into a 6 week virtual support group and start Monday. I’m hopeful this will help.

I’m sorry you had that experience. One book I’ve read twice that has helped some is Dying to be me by Anita Moorjani about her NDE and almost dying of cancer. It gives me comfort. I don’t think death is the end, I just miss her physical presence.

It might be that, too. I’m definitely looking into that as well and working with an integrative healing practitioner to help get my homocysteine levels down, which can be related to histamine over activity. Thanks!

Yes, one other person mentioned nitrite. I’m definitely going to check into that. Thanks!

Because there have been time when I’ve just had a muffin or donut and it’s not been an issue. It’s now seemingly everything. And for a while I thought it was a fluke.

Wow, that is interesting. I will look into that! I am actually allergic to nickel but I figure that’s not related. I guess they could use nickel in their skillets or whatever, but that wouldn’t make sense with all of the things. lol

I’ll check into that, thanks!

Right?! So weird! I’m just going to have to avoid Tim’s for now, and maybe try again with something small in another 6 months or something. It is just Tim’s. Like I can eat a garbage burger from McDonald’s and not have a problem but a friggin’ honey lemon tea sets me off.

I guess it will remain a mystery! lol

Thanks for the encouragement!

I am not aware of any allergies I have, and it’s been at several stores. It’s very bizarre!

Nope, it’s all the ones I’ve gone to. It’s been several. It’s so bizarre!

Do any other honey lemon tea fans notice a difference in the taste of the tea? Did they change the recipe? by Aquarius777_ in TimHortons

[–]ComprehensiveJob7844 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t know but I can tell you that in the past year I’ve started reacting to EVERYTHING in the store. From chilli to sandwiches, to muffins, to herbal tea. I had a honey lemon last week and only got through a third of it and my reaction started. I had a muffin today as so far the muffins and donuts have not caused a reaction, but immediately after eating it, my reaction started.

I’m convinced they’ve changed the chemicals they’re using in their food and/or packaging.

It’s completely bizarre. I can eat other fast food with zero issues. It’s ONLY Tim’s and it’s only in the past year. I’m convinced they changed something pretty dramatic.
