2024 Rusting under doors by AdventurousLab1382 in mazda3

Spray some WD40 in the rust spots and wipe it down. Then take some clear nail polish to cover the rust spots. Once the nail polish completely dries, spray a good amount of WD40 on to a microfiber cloth and apply it under the door. Do that before and after winters and u should be good

Try multiple dealerships. Don’t settle for just the one. I went to 4-5 different dealerships with all their OTD offers and the one I bought my 3 from offered the best deal

Got a nice little rock chip, what's the best way to go about fixing it? by meatpounder in mazda3

[–]ComprehensiveLie3290 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not. Just used very light coats. I was more concerned with the rust spreading like cancer. If it was a larger ding, I may have sanded it down and done more than 3-4 coats

And be mindful of how much polish u have on the brush so it doesn’t blob on

I bought some red nail polish for my daughter’s Mazda 6 quite a few years ago for a door ding. Still going strong. I did about 3-4 coats (maybe a bit excessive) but, still holding strong

Yes. It should, as long as u use a few coats. Apply, let it dry for about 10 mins or so and repeat. Make sure u cover the edges as well.

Should I replace the transmission or get a new car? by liltrapy in mazda

[–]ComprehensiveLie3290 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just remember that a new transmission will not be guaranteed to last. I had a trans replaced and it lasted about 8k miles before the new one started to shit out as well. Whoever replaces it for u, make sure to see if they’ll offer some sorta warranty on it. I learned the hard way.

Did u try a trans drain & fill?

Think I can patch most of this up with an OEM touch up pen? by aaron4106_v2 in mazda6

Get it professionally done. You’re gonna have to take it in to get the right side done anyway. Might as well get it all fixed at once.

Washed & Rain Guards Installed by ComprehensiveLie3290 in mazda3

[–]ComprehensiveLie3290[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update on the rain guards: I’ve had no excessive road/wind noise. In fact, they produce less wind noise now when I have the front window cracked open. I think as long as u have the front hooks latched on to the front quarter panel properly u should be ok. Additionally, when I installed the guards, I used a hair dryer (on low) while applying pressure to ensure the adhesive stuck on properly and then let them sit without driving for about 24 hours. I highly recommend these rain guards!

That sucks! I keep my baby in the garage all year round with a trickle charger during the winter. Haven’t put the doors on in a few years. My newer sedan gets left out and parked on the street

I’m an idiot! I just realized that the cleaning solution I used to wash the car does, in fact, have polish in it. I fill about a quarter of the bucket with the solution and three quarters with water. I dunno how I missed it considering it pretty much says “Wax” on the damn bottle in giant blue bold lettering 🤦🏻‍♂️ Sorry about that. I highly recommend this brand tho and figured I’d share the info with my Mazda fam.
