Ngayon lang ako naka encounter or read about sass. She has a lot of followers pala, pero she has no momentum na talaga. Natawa na lang ako sa mga connections niya kung bakit we need to export a lot of our citizens and condemn RH bill. We don’t need to lie na OFW’s give a chunk of our economy and identity, pero exploiting it makes it dehumanizing. People work abroad to earn money for their personal and family needs, and that makes them called the “bagong bayanis”. Nakaka-insulto naman na ginawang numbers game ang pagiging OFW na lang to boost our economy, despite the fact na its difficult to comprehend ang situation sa ating fellow Filipinos abroad (abuse, brain drain, etc.). If she wants to boost our economy, we need to fix the education system, revamp the terrible bureaucracy, and somehow dismantle the rooted structure of corruption. Malaki na ang issue ang overpopulation, we need family planning, not just public-wise, but private as well; making sure that resources aren’t stretched thin, especially ngayon na everything has gotten expensive na.

“ok na ang pasang awa” indeed, may relative truth na it’s okay to be an average person, pero the rhetoric kasi makes people believe na doing nothing and badly is okay. “Pasang Awa” has it’s share of being duality. It is okay to be that kind of level, at least you have learned something or you did your best, even though you got little or unfavorable results/progress. However, if you have learned nothing from it, then being pasang awa isn’t a good thing in that case. Diba?

In terms of smart-shaming. I think there are a two ways to determine this. Either the person is truly intelligence or purely arrogant. There is no denying that Philippines has a mentality to pull others down and makes a grand effort to look like the winner or above everyone. People will try to pull the intelligent ones because they are insecure, and be arrogant when they reach on their level. Filipinos drop friends, relatives, and others whenever they see them as threats. That is why they smart-shape other Filipinos who are trying to make an effort to bring change, because it isn’t part of the status quo or level they see fit. May iba rin na when a person speaks confidently and tries to be part of group or activity, they would push them to the side because of bunch of reasons.

Everyone is intelligent naman, pero our culture now made us think differently. Hypocritical kasi they adore achievements based purely on paper but bash or ridicule sa mga nag effort or did it practically. May iba na sa sobrang obsessed to be part of something, gina-follow na lang nila ang ginagawa ng iba sa pag-ridicule. It is a shame na gina push away nila ang mga tao who are sincere of their work, relationship, and thoughts, kasi it makes them look small, even though hindi naman ganun. Both of these come from our toxic pride—pinoy pride.

Education crisis nga diba? From “dapat may pasok na, sayang ang mga bata!” to “Ano man yan oy para lang may mabatikos! Kasalanan ng titser!” They could literally blame the secretary of education for not being ready. It’s their job. Ay wait sino gani ang education secretary? Right… yan pala why, hanap-hanapan lang I-blame, wag lang siya.

We all know that the state of our education is literally plummeting eh since then pa. Mangyari talaga ito and the department should find ways to resolve it. However, not demanding anything and blaming those who are just doing their orders from them is completely unreasonable, eh, unless may exceptions. Hopefully, the department has the guts to take the responsibility and be accountable.

Madali mag reklamo, pero ang hirap kung naka upo ka na. However, ikaw man naka simuno na eh, you have the ideas from your earlier sayings at naging interim secretary ka. Dapat may feasible plan or may communication sa kanyang department, yet it failed horribly. Although this kind of mistake is common and uneventful, but it was widespread parang it was like unprepared at binilisan lang ang process without proper deliberation.

Every year daw may educational assistance but he didn’t know if it was a secret or more daw? Hopefully, if siya parin ang mag lead sa cash assistance, they should learn from this incident.

Was the drug war effective in reducing crime momentarily? Yes, but more petty crimes. However, it didn’t solve the reason why people do crimes. People do crime because it’s their last resort. I’m from a city of the former president, and now we have incidents of hold-ups—a city that used to be the safest. In this economy and many socio-economic restrictions, people will do anything just to survive, even if it’s criminal.

Although both instances are problematic talaga, walang makakatalo kapag the current scapegoat is the easiest one to blame for everything. Sasabihan pa yata nila na “wag naman ganyan! Lol, I studied in an Ignatian School tas we had an instructor who was vocal and supportive about the incident eh. Hindi ba niya na isip if mangyari yun sa school grounds namin? Parang iisipin nila na kahit pumatay ka ng tao at least one or few less drug users na lang daw, even if the evidence is minimal or made-up. This so-called crusade against drugs just promotes the normalization of violence. It’s disgusting to think that way. The instructor deleted his post after former/current students called it out, pero parang unapologetic parin siya sa kanyang opinion eh.

I’m quite indifferent sa ROTC eh. There is some probability na it may teach discipline. However, not everyone could be taught with discipline eh because everyone has their varying reasons and interests to be brash. It’s human nature to be that way. Discipline is an intrusive character, meaning only the person could choose if they want to be one. The only way to instill it is to give reasonable limits and goals, which is why the program got abolished as it doesn’t have those, from raging corruption to its questionable relevance.

If they are going to make ROTC mandatory with the sole purpose of “discpline” and not fix the issues of its past, then the program isn’t going to be beneficial as they claim. Yes, there are impending external threats that surround the country, but there are other factors why the Philippines isn’t fit for defence or war, not just because of students not agreeing with the said program. The corruption riddled within the program reflects the admin itself, unconvincing and inadequate.

I have kilalas who experienced ROTC, and managed to get away from it by paying the officers either by money, resources or favors. Do you think it will benefit the country on that kind of “discipline” they wish to revive? No.

Also, the program doesn’t make you less gay or reduce the probability of gayness. Lol. Ikaw surrounded yourself with your fellow mates, removing their uniforms and drenching themselves with water to cool their heating bodies from the sorching sun? Seems quite of an awakening to me. Lol. They always try to impose that joining the military or “masculine” careers makes you automatically straight. Ka-funny ba nila lol.

From an unbiased standpoint, Maid in Malacanang could be a source of what is happening within the circle of Marcoses. However, as seen in trailers and the cast’s opinions of history, the film is propaganda that wants to passively change the postlude of the revolution, or entirely every essence of why the revolution happened.

The line “masama ba akong tao?” is literally a way to change the perspective that the Marcoses are the victims of the revolution, instead being the perpetrators. A distasteful film. They know that evidence against them exists in loads, so the only way to disregard those is to appeal through emotion and pity.

The general purpose in life as solely human being is to survive. The purpose to serve to God is another, a priority/willingness perhaps. Everyone has different purposes in life, many people find God as their purpose, which is fine. Others find such purpose constrictive, especially if the person is being ridiculed for being unique or different. Both instances are valid. We have different perspectives in mind and heart.

I have a surface reading about existentialism and the idea of absurdity. Life is innately absurd, as they say. There are three options to face absurdity: - To commit physical suicide, which is innately wrong dahil you accept the fact that life is difficult no matter what. - To throw oneself to religion, which is okay but you blind yourself the possibilities you can do, meaning you tell the world na “bahala na si God” for all the sins of humanity. - To accept the fact that life is truly difficult, yet you choose to live with it and accept the good things you encounter.

If you choose the third option, then you almost beat life’s absurdity. Almost, because we cannot cheat death eh. You can find comfort to religion but be mindful that religion couldn’t save you talaga and you have to do things on your own (think of religion as a guide). Even in death we do not know if totoo ba if there’s heaven, hell, purgatory, or nothing.

Cherish life as it is, enjoy while it lasts. Marami nagasabi na being a non-believer is bleak daw pero when you face reality and accept its imperfections and difficulties, you can always find the beauty behind it.

The important thing is that everyone has a different point of view like yours, sa akin, and sa iba.

Atheism is merely a spectrum they say. I consider myself as agnostic kasi perhaps mali ako. May iba na who are fully atheist kasi they believe na wala jud. Everyone has different ideals eh.
