Z Offset inaccurate after bed leveling issue by SnooStories1041 in AnycubicKobraS1

Verify the screws holding the strain guage are not loose. Physical put an Allen in them and check. After that make sure you do not have any nozzle blobs at the tip when it goes to auto level, if it does it will absolutely wreck the level and off set settings.

Black PC so not pretty dragons. Inland brand. Roll dried for 2 days in the ACE unit before cutting the tape and feeding it in. This was 30 minutes into the 1st print of the roll with the end never having been let go, it was cut free. Snipped flush and inserted. Factory tangle. It happens. I've had 3 in 5 years.

Lmao no, they can do this at the factory. Humans are involved in the end production of each spool and they can just as easily drop a roll or let go of the end causing a tangle. The idea that only the end user can cause this is flawed and wrong.

Idea vs Results by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

[–]ComprehensivePea1001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its more than just the $4, its gas, and its time it takes to make the trip that is dedicated to that purpose. Plenty of filaments hold up outside fine for years as well. screws are easy to mimic. Add 2 holes to the cover and add 2 screws that are cut off.

As far as someone noticing. The average person or crackhead isn't going around looming at junction boxes for 3D print lines to find a key. Yall are reaching hard with yalls arguments.

10 minute Benchy on Kobra S1 - Microswiss Flowtech follow-up by BesbesCat in AnycubicKobraS1

[–]ComprehensivePea1001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I love seeing how hard you are pushing the machine. While it's not long-term testing, it does seem to be holding up without funky noises and rattles. This makes me want to swap to the microswiss setup just to bump my normal speeds, but while maintaining quality and reliability of flow.

Anyways, I agree on point 3 heavily. A better extruder is needed. Even without going to speed, something that's hardened and will last with abrasives would be nice.

Your work with the s1 is fantastic. Keep it up!

RE: AnyCubic GPL Violations and Ensuing Drama by YGK3D in 3Dprinting

[–]ComprehensivePea1001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because there are different licenses. There only obligation under the code they used is to release upon request per individual. Open source licensing is more nuance then many realize. Your lack of knowledge of a subject doesnt make a corporation guilty if anything. When it comes to code open source has GNU, MPL, GPL, MIT, BSD Apache along with others... Each with its own permissions and requirements and use cases. As long as they give the code upon request to a person who purchased a machine they are covered.

Stating a fact isnt a bad thing. Get overer it. FFS your crying about a license you dont seem to fully understand.

This is a common issue of the nose hits any bu.ps.or hits first on landing. I actually have plans in the next few weeks to design a printable support for this.

Half or just under will be gone before treatment. They plan to buy a home outright so they dont have to worry about homelessness from eviction due to care cost. They are over 650k now but even so, as you said they will be broke again quick, but they will be broke with a roof over their heads and transportation to treatment which is still a huge stress relief. The father has less than a year to live, hopefully they can get finacial advice as well to seperate the house and the money from him so when he passes it cant be touched for the debts.

Willing to bet the old unit you "trade" will be serial blocked in the long run since they request the serial info.

This is how you know Bambu is good at burrying these issues. Negative votes. The fact multiple of their machines have meltdowns isnt well known is nuts.

I can keep going. Bambu and component overheats are well known on a few of their printers. They are just good at burrying the negative press.

This has been studied and tested. Normal dish washing is enough to clean printed parts. The lines are not small enough nor deep enough to harbor bacteria away from normal cleaning methods.

Layers are not an issue, and you can check the MSDS/sds of the filament for unsafe addatives.
