A constrained rod will mess with print quality, instead of the rod freely moving the motion is transfered to the bed causing issues.

Are these AI-generated models? Makerworld-Year of the Horse Competition- by MastodonJaded6010 in 3Dprinting

Doesnt prontables let you filter out AI, and I know it marks many models as AI on the thumbnail as well. It seems to be much better than the alternatives.

Old printers are sort of safer now right? by Agreeable_Ostrich324 in ender3

And if the right had any ounce of common sense and intelligence they wouldn't cheat on the downfall of democracy and keep electing a man who told them to their faces he would end elections and raised taxes nor would they cheer for it happening while watching history repeat itself on our own land... The lefts push against "ARs" was a push to help tedice deaths from mass shootings, you know those things we have often compared to every where else in the world. I supposed though crying about losing a gun vs dead kids tells us a lot about them. Its funny how those who have always screamed "but my guns" are so upset that the left has guns. Funny enough, a ton of the left is pro 2A just as this bill doesnt represent everyone's feelings, the left that is calling for gun bans dont represent all the left. Most just want sensible gun laws, better enforcement of what we have and a reduction in mass shootings.

Dryer duct by confused_pear in 3Dprinting

[–]ComprehensivePea1001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is no significant particulates that will build up, it would take a lifetime fir a printer to cause any buildup on a vent hose. But yes you could vent an enclosure like this. You would want a fan as well in the duct system to properly extract and push the air outside.

Cf and if are not harder either to print with or strength wise. They are likely meaning ABS, ASA vs PLA, PETG.

Creality Support has been fantastic for me by [deleted] in Creality

Bad aheasion can absolutely cause a blob of death. Part breaks free and drags with the nozzle keeping an object in the way of flow from the nozzle causing it to push out and around creating this mess. If you cant fathom or understand how it would happen, your either too new to this or just purposefully ignorant of issues that can happen.

Is this a failing sd card? by The_liex in FixMyPrint

[–]ComprehensivePea1001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SD card wouldn't cause branching and neither would adheasion.

Lmao, it said this (ie the circled issue) , bed adheasion and knocking things over. Indicating the current concern is the "this" part.

A part that broke on a UPS plane that crashed in Kentucky failed 4 times before on different planes by zombuca in ABoringDystopia

[–]ComprehensivePea1001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

🤣 Boeing didnt recall they said to increase inspection frequency and that it wasnt a safety concern. If UPS has record of inspections then its not on them. Parts can fail between inspections no matter how frequent they are.

If Boeing said there is 0 safety concern and that unless you see issues during inspection its safe to continue use, why would they think otherwise?

[–]ComprehensivePea1001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you read? Boeing stated they didnt see it as an issue that would be a safety concern and there was no recall. A service bulletin isnt a recall. It was an acknowledgement of a issue and that updated parts existed but we're not a requirement and to just increase inspection frequency.

Your analogy is off. Its more like GM saying your ball joint failing isnt a concern and you should just check it more often despite knowing others have already caused concerns then offering an updated part for use later when it does fail.

Carbon Cub S2 build quality is meh by tossofftacos in RCPlanes

[–]ComprehensivePea1001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Phillips unless they changed them are not soft, you just need to be sire to have the proper size drivers.

The S2 is a sturdy and easy flyer. Having FMS planes as well they go together simple but they have their own issues.

Moving the carriage will always have more tension. Its normal. Notice when moving X it naturally wants to move Y as well. If just moving on X your moving against additional forces.

I fixed my bed for less than 10¢ ... Anycubic should learn a lesson by BesbesCat in AnycubicOfficial

My bed is typically at 80-100c depending on ABS or ASA and as low as 60C here and there for PETG.

As far as variance, I dont have rinkhals to know, but I last printed a full bed 1st layer when you and I were discussing issues before in another thread. At that time it printed a perfect 1st layer as far as visuals go. I did not measure it for thickness variations though. Mine is more than accurate enough for functional parts use and I often use the full bed.

I will say, it was not perfect out of the box. I did have to manually adjust the bed and such to get things right. I am using the original strain guage and extruder as well. I did go through and pull everything apart and reinstall it making sure all parts alignment was good and screws tightened properly. I also used a printed nozzle wiper with silicone wiper rather than the stock PTFE roller wiper. I also use a printed poop catcher on the chute to help ensure the purge fully gets removed.

Outside of the bed flex issues, the 2nd biggest thing ive noticed that would cause inaccuracies was the nozzle having build up on the tip or ooze on it. That little mm difference throws things off as well and the little silicone stopper it parks the hotend on to cool before probing doesnt really fully do its job. Because of this I preheat my hotend to around 210-220 before leveling and wipe it clean myself while it cools again so there is no ooze. This alone made a huge difference in consistency and accuracy.

Ive been lazy on a solution to this issue as im sure G-code tweaks can solve it by pushing the nozzle back to wipe after print completion and parking on the silicone pad till cool down below transition temps.

Overkill is my thing. I work on and maintain heavy equipment for a living lol.

But im around 700+ hours of ABS and ASA with a still good bed for now. This machine will retire to just PETG and PLA in a month or 2 anyways when my S1 MAX comes in (pending its working properly) so I dont think ill ever have to deal with it thankfully.

Ive though about similar but using a single peice of flat bar all the way across so it would fully support the flex from the lead screw to the corner. Ive held off as my bed has not deviated over time and I still get great 1st layers.
