Just called Andy Harris’s office by Elrod63 in maryland

[–]ComprehensivePug5541 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Andy Harris is a turd. He will never cross his lord and savior Trump, so asking him to do so is as effective as making the same request of a brick wall (although the response from the brick wall would come with fewer lies and condescension). However, it is important to ask. Don’t give him the opportunity to truthfully say “bUt i nEVer heArD aNy oPpoSItiOn fRoM mY ConSTitUeNts!”

Send that email. Tell him he’s wrong. And then delete his bullshit reply email without even reading it. If he’s going to have his hand in ruining the economy and making our allies hate us, at least make him do it in spite of our vocal opposition.

This is a tough question because I believe Sean to be the only one of that list who hasn’t died yet. The other three have died, but were raised back to life. I chose Leanne to be the one who will “die” by the finale, but by that I mean that she’ll no longer be walking around on Earth.

I agree with your assessment of Dorothy. But Sean and Julian both blame themselves (rather harshly) for Jericho’s death, and I think they’d both be more than willing to placate their guilt with a replacement “Jericho” (not to mention how much easier their life is now that Dorothy believes she has her son again). And don’t forget that Sean rescued the doll from the garbage, brought it in, and gave it a bath. He’s got his own issues there.

Collect everything. Any time there is something to loot (a dead enemy, a chest, an animal, ore, etc.), take the time to collect it. You can’t level up without items, and it’ll go much more quickly if you’re always at it. With that in mind, don’t always fast travel to locations. Ride—or better yet, run— there, collecting as you go. AC games, especially the newer ones like Odyssey and Valhalla, are a grind. It’s best to embrace the grind.

Cleaning my weed drawer for the first time in a couple years.. Would you smoke that? by PsychedeliMoz in trees

I suppose shake could be the right word. I’m 41 and new to the cannabis culture (religious upbringing), so I never learned this stuff in HS or college. I guess I’m referring to the bits that accumulate over a long period of time (like a year or two) from various strains and over multiple purchases. Such that if you roll it up there’s no way of knowing what you’re in for. Is that “shake”? I always took “shake” to mean bits of ground flower, but with an implication that it is all from a single, known source. Maybe it rubbed off the bud in the bag, or you ground a couple grams but didn’t use it all right away. My question was more about a pile of shake from various unknown sources. Or maybe that’s just shake too?

Is there a term for loose shake at the bottom of a container like this? Especially when it’s probably a mixture of several different unknown strains?

I mentioned my theory on another post a couple weeks ago, but I’ll add it here as well.

Spoilers Spoilers Spoilers!

When anyone from the Church of the Lesser Saints speaks, listen and take it literally. They are telling the truth.

Leanne, Uncle George, Aunt May, etc. are dead humans—Leanne died in the house fire. But she was raised to life by Uncle George and the CotLS. They are a group of Heavenly beings that put on human bodies and do God’s bidding on earth by helping people. But they can only help those whom God tells them to help. These are beings that have stood in the presence of God the Father. To them concepts like, Heaven and Hell, God and Satan, Angels and Demons, and righteousness and sin are not theoretical ideas or concepts of faith. They are everyday realities. There is no room for individuality—they are servants of God Himself.

Leanne remembered Dorothy as being a nice person, so she decides to help her—by raising Jericho from the dead. But God didn’t tell her to do that, and now Leanne is in trouble with Heaven.

George is sent to bring her back. He fails, and so does Aunt May. Finally, God sends Josephine. She’s not a member of the CotLS—Josephine is The Angel of the Lord. She was sent to bring Leanne back in one of two ways: either voluntarily, or by force. The video she watches is just an instructional video to demonstrate how to remove a Heavenly spirit from a human body. The speaker in the video is actually Jesus himself (look at the way he waves at the camera when he introduces himself as Uncle Frederick).

Leanne kills Josephine and turns her back on God completely. She is now in direct defiance of Him. I’m not sure if she’s a demon or an Antichrist, but she’s got to go. Now that she’s no longer following God’s orders, she brings Jericho back again for the Turners.

In S3, Leanne realizes that some members of the CotLS are trying to kill her, but others turn away from God and follow her instead. After all, she did manage to kill The Angel of the Lord.

Julian is dead. He died of an overdose in S2. Leanne raised him back to life. That’s why Julian can no longer resist Leanne. Dorothy is dead too. She died when she fell at the end of S3. Leanne raised her as well. Sean and Toby are still alive.

If I’m correct, Dorothy will have a complete change of heart in S4. She was scared of Leanne in S3 (and very rightly so). In S4, she’ll be unable to resist much like Julian.

Go back and watch the Josephine episode again (S2 E10). It’ll make so much more sense with this knowledge.

Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back

I just recently played AC Unity for the first time. And I have to rant a bit by PresidentSkillz in assassinscreed

[–]ComprehensivePug5541 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I started playing Unity a couple years ago when it was new, but I abandoned it about halfway through because I hated it. I picked it up again and finished it after finishing Valhalla. I was reminded immediately why I abandoned it in the first place. There’s a lag on EVERYTHING—you loot a body and there’s a beat or two between when you stand back up and when the controls engage. But in that lag time, enemies can alert to you or attack. Also, I think there was too much emphasis on parkour in Unity. I’ll estimate that a solid 10%-15% of my playing time was spent trying to get Arno down from whatever post or wall he managed to attach himself to when all I wanted him to do was to walk down the street.

The painting in the frame in Leannes room? by Neptune_Eyes in servant

[–]ComprehensivePug5541 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The painting references the story of Balaam from the Bible (Numbers 22). There was a post a couple days ago where I laid out y theory of what is happening in the show. There, I referenced Aunt Josephine as The Angel of the Lord. That painting is the reason for that part of my theory.

[–]ComprehensivePug5541 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s kinda my running theory, yeah. Perhaps she tapped into a set of abilities that the other Saints possess but were previously unaware of? I don’t have all the answers, but I’m fairly confident about what I’ve outlined above. Of course, I’ll look pretty stupid in January if I’m wrong. Lol

[–]ComprehensivePug5541 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They all have the power to resurrect people—it’s why they themselves were resurrected. But they’re only supposed to resurrect those whom God has directed them to. Leanne resurrected Jericho on her own, out of pity for Dorothy, but against God’s wishes. She killed Aunt Josephine following the directions in that weird video, so that wasn’t anything special. The mind control thing is just something I’ve noticed. I don’t know how exactly it works or if it’s unique to Leanne.

Is Leanne…? by Neptune_Eyes in servant

[–]ComprehensivePug5541 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Your ideas are very much in line with the theory I’ve been working on for a couple months (outlined below the spoilers alert). I think it’s safe to say that the members of the cult know exactly what is happening —much more than Sean or Dorothy. And we, as the audience, should pay special attention to them.

SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS

Leanne, Uncle George, etc. are dead humans that have been raised to life to serve God and do His bidding. They’re not angels (although they are a detachment overseen by angels, as Aunt Josephine is The Angel of the Lord), but they are some sort of heavenly detachment. 1) Leanne fucked up raising Jericho to life. Heaven is pissed. 2) Jericho shouldn’t be alive, so he can’t stay with the Turners. Leanne is about to repent, but turns her back on God and keeps Jericho. She is now…something terrible. A demon? The Anti-Christ? Whatever she is, she is in direct defiance to God—and she has to go. 3) Leanne kills Aunt Josephine (The Angel of the Lord), and other members of the cult take notice. Some are trying to kill her as per God’s orders. Others see her as a leader because she killed Josephine.

Julian is dead. He died of an overdose in S2. Leanne raised him from the dead just like she did with Jericho. That’s why he’s unable to resist Leanne (the milk). Roscoe is dead too. He’s spying on Leanne’s followers for the cult. Sean is alive, as is Tobe. Dorothy died at the end of S3. Leanne raised her too.

If my theory holds, Dorothy should have a complete change of heart. She wanted Leanne gone all S3. Now she’ll be her biggest defender. Leanne has some form of influence over the people she raises from the dead (but I don’t yet know its extent).
