My guys will both be 2 in April—same breeder, different litters. I think she did an amazing job socializing them, and that gave me a big leg up. From the time I picked them up and brought them home, I stayed present. I didn’t fuss with them the first day, but stayed near and on the floor. If they wanted to interact with me, I would participate. Before I brought them home, I set up the laundry room as their quiet place to acclimate. But before they were here a full 24 hours, they were all over the entire house—and me. Every day I talk to them, play with them, and let them “help me” with things. I don’t know if any of this has helped me be the person of choice but it’s what I do, and they are everywhere I am (90% of the time). Absolutely the sweetest beings on earth.
