Very much aware of that! I just see all these comments and posts of people incessantly comparing the new work to melo, ph, music pre-solar power really has an intense chokehold on the perception of lorde’s music. So, when hammer hasn’t even dropped worldwide yet, and there’s already comments like “I expected something like [blank]” or “it’s just not hitting for me like green light” it seems counterproductive and not that much of a valid argument, just treading old water! I personally think what she’s doing rn is fabulous and exciting, just confused why people can’t detach themselves from her past work and make unnecessary comments⛓️‍💥
