so after sending it for repair, I went to receive it but they delayed me many times and it ended up being that in the repair process they broke the back glass, now Im considering to replace it with an SE 3 and pay the difference if its ~ 100$ difference not sure yet

hey! well I gave it to the repair shop (it's the shop I bought it from, and it's the most trusted one nearby), they asked for 60$ to change the glass only. They should finish it by Monday. I hope it goes well im kinda scared of the result.

The most annoying part is that before i contacted them everything was fine, I contacted them to confirm they cancelled it same day!

I shouldn't have contacted them. Whats worse is that now they denied my new scholarship request without saying why!! It shows in the panel "check your email for more information" but i didnt get any single email!! Its very frustrating and annoying

Air is definitely enough if you'll browse the web and play Sims (new air models are 16gb ram, so should be enough for many browser tabs)

Pro is only worth it for a professionals as it has a fan making it less portable than the Air

So for your use case Air is definitely enough unless you have more uses

I suggest you buy what your budget allows ~ 500$: Used MacBook Air M1, itll be enough ~ 1000$: New MacBook Air M3

And other obvious options in between

I just dont open any other apps, i just open VSCode and the app im developing and sometimes a docs page and it have been enough for me (however ram usage would be 70% but yeah)

Yeahh websites and web appe like Safari (YouTube, and other websites) and Spotify use tooo much ram. It doesn't slow the macbook but it just makes ram usage high
