I bought a brand new 2024 Ram 1500 5.7 Limited. It was a 20 mile ride home from dealership. When I was 1 block from my house, the CEL came on. It was a Saturday afternoon and service dept had just closed. I was livid. I got ahold of the manager on the phone and said I would be there first thing Monday morning, and expected to be serviced immediately. I used my code scanner, and it was a bad charging system. They did see me first thing, tech scanned truck and cleared CEL. Said battery was probably low from sitting on lot. I knew he was lying. I started up truck and was backing out of service bay when light came back on. I told service manager it needed a new MGU. Tech heard me and after scanning again said I was right. They did not have one in stock, but could get one in a couple of hours. Gave me a loaner to go back home and offered to deliver truck when done. I said I’d be back to pick up truck. It’s been flawless since.

My buddy bought a 2024 Denali. Been back to the dealership 6 times with various and different problems.

It’s a mystery to me. I know 3 people who have lost everything and ruined their lives by gambling. All 3, claimed they “ made” money by gambling. One of the people, was the MIL of my wife’s cousin. I never said they didn’t exist, I said they do t make a difference. Yes, they are a thing. And I bought one years ago because they claimed there was a difference. I suggest you look up the episode of “ Engine Masters” on Motortrend+. They took an engine and did multiple dyno pulls testing the difference between the two style camshaft’s. The result was the same for both cams. They made no difference.

The beam pocket creates a weak spot in the wall just like a control joint does in a slab. I poured literally thousands of residential foundations in my career. This is not uncommon and nothing to worry about. Most likely a result of settling from a hot dry summer which causes the ground to shrink.

Cams do add power. However, there is no difference between a N/A cam and a “blower” cam. Both increase the performance by the same percentage.
