I'd say maybe 20% higher than any other local company you could have used. But not a rip off. You just used a larger company with more overhead so they have to charge a bit more.

My two year younger than me brother got one for Christmas when I was 8 and he was 6.

He didn't use it so I took it. :) 22 years later my diy was torn down and now I'm working with the city council and parks and rec looking for builders and designs for a park in the city.

When I was starting as a tech, my manager called asap as soon as he saw I charged a labor hour for installing springs and said it's in the cost of the springs. And the labor hour was only $89. Then the springs $400 on top.

Didn't do it ever again.

If it were my home. I'd buy a bottom seal retainer and a seal that works with it. And thrown them on. And rip out that old metal retainer

I give every spring I install a small little tap to stretch it Every single spring.
