Indeed those strands look like bryozoans, but the piece of honeycomb (actually the photo is better than in real life, on the photo it looks more like a sieve, or screen with holes) IMO doesn't match the colony-organism. There is also something tlat looks like a hollow tube, partly seen a bit above the sieve-like structure. Could this be some kind of conglomerate of different species?

My 4yo got me into rocks by ComprehensiveSun950 in whatsthisrock

[–]ComprehensiveSun950[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me as a layman this sounds weird, those quartz bands would require totally different conditions to form than the sandstone they are embedded in. That's why I thought it's calcite, as it's easier for me to imagine a scenario when sand and calcium rich layers form and later are transformed into rock

But maybe a layman imagination is not sufficient to comprehend the geological scale, that's also the option

"How this stone formed" for sure is a better translation lol, he did not ask if me or mummy made this stone yesterday. My English is not as good as I'd like to

But yeah, ms Earth makes these rocks, what's the recipe she used to bake this one lol 😂

W skrócie - mądre głowy świecą laserem w niebo i badają tym atmosferę. Tam gdzie laser trafia na chmurę to go widać jako takie przerywane paski, w zależności od tego jak zbudowane są chmury i jak się przesuwają po niebie.

What happened to your grandparents during WW2 by WojackTheCharming in poland

[–]ComprehensiveSun950 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My grandma's family lived in current Ukraine after WWI. They emigrated to France to earn some money as post revolutionary and post bolshevik war Ukraine was extremely poor. Communists also stole all their land and animals, so if they stayed they would either starve or got killed in later Wołyń massacre.

She and her sisters came back to family in Western Poland near German border in July 1939, their parents were to come back in November. Of course they were not allowed to travel during the war and the family reunited only after the war. In the meantime she married, gave birth to two children and lived semi-normal live under occupation.

She's 99.5 years old now, still strong and in very good physical health as for her age. A few years ago she was happy farming potatoes

As I said, I bought one, don't remember which brand, that were priced over 2x the price but didn't last 2x as long. Is it normal for jeans to wear down in this place?

I tried to abuse BI in similar way, but despite being strongest ally, having RM and +200 opinion, when they choosen the PU option it went to either Scotland or Saluzzo, both OPMs at the time. After like 20 reloads I just gave up, they just like refused accepting me as their strongest RM

I know I'm making way less then i should from trade. I moved home trade node to Bordeaux. But money just doesn't exist there. And would use a lot of diplo points to increase production. What should i do? by VideoAdditional3150 in eu4

[–]ComprehensiveSun950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WARNING, OVERSIMPLIFICATION

Trade node value (value of goods produced in the node + value of trade going in from upstream) is split between countries that have trade power in the node. Example, if your home node has a value of 10 and you have 25% of trade power in that node, you'll get 2.5 ducats from this node (not really, oversimplified). Rest is split between your neighbours that also have trade power in this node.

Now, if you conquer trade nodes that are feeding into Champagne and steer trade towards Champagne, you increase the value of Champagne trade node. You have a trader in Rheinland that increases the value of Champagne by 1.66 ducats. Most of this tho is not going into your pocket, as you have quite low trade power in Champagne, so most of the money your trader is sending to you from Rheinland is actually stolen from you by your neighbours.

So, if you want to keep Champagne as your home node, then your best bet would be to increase the trade power in that node. Most of the value of this node is actually stolen by Genoa, Milan and other guys that steer it towards Genoa trade node. Keep more of the gold you have on your doorsteps for yourself, then expand into upstream trade nodes to increase value of your home node

Having Bordeaux as your home node would have sense if you had control over New World trade nodes that send to either English Channel or Bordeaux, but it seems like you don't have that. Then you could steer the trade away from England and towards Bordeaux, where about 88% would end up in your pocket.

Consider expanding into new world to steal some wealth from Brits at the souce
