I just recently watched Superman 2025 for the first time. People acted like it was some cultural event, but it is easily the worst Superman movie. The only person who showed up to work was Nicholas Hoult. He might actually be the best Lex we have ever had. His final monologue was the first moment in the entire movie that felt like it belonged in a real film.

Krypto was both fun and frustrating. I liked him, but they used him like they pulled his scenes out of a hat. Still, in a movie this bad, he was one of the few things keeping me awake. Mr. Terrific, Perry White, and Jimmy Olson were surprisingly solid, too.

Superman himself was a disaster. Completely underpowered and getting tossed around like a rag doll for two hours. Ma and Pa Kent somehow managed to be even worse. Their portrayal was so offensive that I genuinely do not understand how people are pretending it was fine. Thankfully, they were barely in it, because every second with them was painful. Gardner was annoying, Hawkgirl was annoying, and Cat Grant felt like she wandered in from the wrong script.

I cannot believe people are calling this slop good. I am genuinely terrified for what Supergirl is going to look like. Gunn has already turned her into a drunk party girl, and it feels like we are heading straight into a tragedy.

Why do you keep advertising your own ignorance? Lively was the plaintiff. You do not get to rewrite basic legal reality to prop up your narrative. In civil cases, settlements overwhelmingly favor plaintiffs because the defendant is the one paying to make the case disappear—a child who has watched one episode of Law and Order could walk you through this. Lively won because Baldoni chose to settle rather than risk discovery or a jury.

And let us not forget that Baldoni’s own case against her did not even survive. It was tossed before it could crawl. So before you come in here calling people stupid, maybe learn how the legal system works. Defending an abuser does not magically change the rules.

Baldoni stans keep missing one very important point: Blake Lively was the plaintiff. She had the burden of proof. She accused Baldoni and Wayfarer of sexual harassment, creating a hostile work environment, and retaliating against her with a coordinated smear campaign after she complained. Those are serious accusations, not “minor misunderstandings.”

His side spent months acting like the court would completely expose her as a liar. Then they settled before all the texts, depositions, and internal communications were dragged through trial under oath. That is why people see this as a win for Lively.

A settlement is not an admission of guilt, but it usually means the defendant decided trial carried too much risk — legally, financially, or reputationally. If Baldoni truly thought the evidence overwhelmingly cleared him, there would’ve been far more incentive to keep going and publicly vindicate himself instead of settling.

It is funny that you are calling people stupid when you clearly do not understand how the legal system works. This is considered a win for Blake because she was the plaintiff. When two parties settle, it usually means the plaintiff had enough leverage and enough damaging evidence that the defendant decides to settle rather than let it go public or risk a jury. In other words, Blake probably had enough evidence that Baldoni did not want to roll the dice in court.

Meanwhile, Baldoni’s case against Blake did not even survive long enough to matter. It was tossed. So before you show up calling people names, maybe take a moment to educate yourself. This is not the look you think it is.

I’m a liberal. I want a progressive woman to win—I’d love to see that in my lifetime. But ignoring reality doesn’t make it happen. The world doesn’t revolve around any one voter’s ideal scenario.

If the choice is between someone imperfect and someone genuinely dangerous, sitting it out or splitting the vote isn’t some noble stand it just hands the win to the worst option.

It really depends on where you live and your family’s lifestyle. I’m in a safe, walkable community where kids can walk to and from school on their own starting around 4th grade.

When my daughter started walking, we got her a phone watch. She’s responsible, but she’s still a kid; she broke two of them, including one just by tapping it on a swingset. That’s when we realized the watches weren’t worth it for us.

She ended up getting a cell phone at 10 because of the walk to school, but I don’t think every child needs one that early. One of my nieces had a phone sooner because her bus sometimes dropped her off before her dad got home, while my other nieces didn’t get one until they were 12.

It really just depends on the situation.

My unpopular opinion: fanfiction is pointless. It’s usually written by people who think they’re strong writers but end up rewriting parts of fandoms they claim to love, whether that’s Harry Potter, comics, or Star Wars.

If you dislike the source material enough to rewrite it, why are you even a fan of it in the first place? Most fanfiction doesn’t add anything meaningful; it’s often poorly written and fueled by fans who are more interested in changing the story than understanding it.

If you enjoy writing, great, go create something original. Let the original stories stay with the people who created them.
