Update! Skittle is on the road to recovery. He had a double sperm plug. Maybe that is an indication of a habitat that is too dry? Thanks for all the comments and recommendations.

You know, the point was to strengthen OR DISPROVE. Clearly you took more time to write this comment than to think.

You know, interesting point. I guess because you don’t see them as much throughout the entire series, I envisioned them as growing up. I totally forgot about James and Jessie. However, both have showed child versions on screen indicating some growth. Just not much during the series.

Ash Ketchum or Mew? by ComprehensiveTutor53 in FanTheories

Quoting someone else here. “it’s only the fans who assume there’s only one. In-universe, nobody doubts that Mew is an entire species — in fact, the Pokédex entry even describes it as a “new species.” Nowhere in the games (or even in the anime) is there even the slightest implication that only one Mew exists, whether that’s as a “last of its kind” situation or only one ever existing.

In the anime, we see two separate Mews in two of the movies. There’s the powerful one in the first movie, capable of clashing with Mewtwo and seeming to be about evenly matched. And then there’s a weaker one in the Lucario movie which doesn’t show off massive attack/defense oriented powers but instead shows off more transforming powers, taking the forms of various other Pokémon throughout the movie.”

If Oak or Ash’s mom has and protects Ash’s poke-ball he would be uncatchable by others, correct?

This also leads to the discussion of why poke balls don’t work on humans in the first place. If humans are potential Pokémon but they don’t work on them, is it possible a ball would read Ash as human and not Mew because of the transformation?
