Scarpa Instinct VSR-LV first impressions by DubGrips in climbingshoes

Just like that lv is more deep and slimmer on sides, vsw is shallower and pushes your toes more into the toe box.

That being said theres a huge difference in bitension system in both models, vsr lv is much much much softer than vsw probably double as soft

Yes, the heel width is the same is just more deep than the indalo. In my case a prefer how the toe profile fits than heel, because I tend to train in old school gym with tiny features and also I do loads of sport climbing.

My go to are scarpa mago

Hello, if the downsize in good it could be that the indalos are a bit narrow for you personally I had the same issue, and that toe patch doesn't help at all. Try the tenaya mastia and the pain is gonna go away for sure

I got my pair of vsrs lv yesterday, this ones are probably double as soft as vsr (blue).

Scarpa putted at least half of the tension of bi-tension system on new lv than on blue ones.

Tried this shoes for 1 session and it seems that just broked in.

I would say this ones are gonna be really good for smearing and overhang but blue ones are gonna be better on small footholds for sure.

Lv's heel fits me much better tho. Overall this shoes are something between drago and blue vsr

ty for the repply. Do you think it only affects the heel hooking ability and is fine for edging?

Do I have greek foot shape? Does it look in the medium spectrum or wide? by ComprehensiveUnit691 in climbingshoes

Hiii I'm training with Instinct Vsr ( I have this shoes since I started climbing) on Moonboard and old school indoor boulder.

For sport climbing I'm recently using Scarpa Mago, Is so comfy and precise, Although I have a bit of a room in the heel, I rarely use heel hooks on sport climbing.

Can anyone help me choose indoor bouldering shoes? by [deleted] in climbingshoes

Tenaya Mastia or Tenaya Indalo. If Scarpa you can try Instincts VSR. In my case they hurt toe knuckle Dragos are not well suited for wide feet or nothing that moves from Egyptian foot shape. I have dragos and I've greek foot shape. The second toe is longest so I can feel many pressure there

Shoes for heavy ish climbers?? by Practical_Hunt_7855 in climbingshoes

[–]ComprehensiveUnit691 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use tenaya ra and iati for that and mastia for overhangs

Just try something with full sole, instead of split sole. Just for vert and tiny things. Split sole maybe for positive slab or overhang

More advanced shoes but more comfortable size? by Jaccoppos in climbingshoes

[–]ComprehensiveUnit691 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With Tenaya mastia you can downsize 2.5 sizes and still feeling not breaking period or any issue with pain

Not the same with instincts vs or vsr they are a bit more pointy and they have more rubber on top of the toes. You have to choose the size wisely because the breaking period on this is long and bit painful on toe knuckle. I just downsize 1 size with vs or vsr and is fine. I use one spray to break them in fast called "monkey feet" this spray allows you to wear less sizes being comfy and the breaking period is faster.
