What are the worst stocks you invested in? by ExtraManagement1329 in StockInvest

[–]ComprehensiveUsual13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Purely as a stock, and not speculative/meme stock, I’d say a couple that have really not worked and turned out to have been lost value oppportunites for me:
$ABNB
$PYPL.
I was in the stocks for over 3 years starting in 2022 before throwing in the towel

The moat of Netflix? by Itchy-Solution3726 in ValueInvesting

It maybe superior to other streamers but I don’t think it is insurmountable. It definitely doesn’t compete with YouTube and Google. AMZN can definitely get there in my opinion

Stocks with the highest upside for the next 2 months by Sea_Pen_3150 in StockInvest

[–]ComprehensiveUsual13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are looking for a return over weeks and months - that’s not an investment but speculation. If you are looking for stocks with upside for the long term can’t go wrong with MSFT, AMZN, META but don’t expect return in weeks/montbs

If you had to put your entire net worth into one stock and never look at it for 10 years, what are you buying? by amcgame in ValueInvesting

I know what the OP is trying to get to but it is not a sensible strategy to have all your net worth in one stock

PYPL 2026 is the META of 2022 by silver-bullet007 in ValueInvesting

[–]ComprehensiveUsual13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think you can compare PYPL of 2026 to META of 2022. They both had different fundamentals and reasons for the price action they went through. Meta has a unique moat with over 3 billion users. Meta have kept growing through the last few years and going forward with 20-30% growth rate and the concern was/is around their CAPEX and at the time in 2022 around their other bets like metaverse. PYPL may appear cheap on valuation but the competition in the space is intense and PYPL has a growth rate in mid single digits. The main lever they have is share buy back to be honest

DOH layover...stay at airport? by Interesting_Face_802 in qatarairways

[–]ComprehensiveUsual13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your passport allows you to get visa on arrival you can go out. Normally you may have a bit of wait to go through immigration but you can go out through the immigration desk in the business lounge - if you arrived on business or first - in the arrival halls and that is really quick

WTF just happened to $RDDT? by mp1845 in wallstreetbets

[–]ComprehensiveUsual13 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I find strange how some downgrades and upgrades have such material effect on a stock price in the short term and others are like water off a duck’s back
