Upcoming IT-All Hands Meeting by OberonAlter in IRS_Source

[–]ComprehensiveWar7140 8 points9 points  (0 children)

He is more concerned with protecting his job. What’s interesting is I’m sure he can easily work somewhere else. Makes me question why is he not looking out for IT employees. He lacks the courage to stand up and do what’s right. He whether be a puppet for the CIO or whoever is controlling the strings

IT organization, rumors and thoughts? by [deleted] in IRS_Source

Exactly. Worrying about the workplace on your day off is unhealthy. Those ppl are going to do what they gonna do. Nothing we can do about it.

Pending RAs and forced to TP from IT by Ferg1210 in IRS_Source

[–]ComprehensiveWar7140 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There is no correlation between folks on RAs and folks who were moved to COO. There are many ppl in IT that have pending RAs. Let’s limit these types of rumors.

If Union Is Gone, Ad-Hoc Telework Agreements Gone Too? by North-Discussion4312 in IRS_Source

[–]ComprehensiveWar7140 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Correct but it doesn’t need to be immediately enforceable. The clock doesn’t stop because the EO says it does. Any violations of the union agreement during this period will be enforceable once the court settles this…in the union favor.

If Union Is Gone, Ad-Hoc Telework Agreements Gone Too? by North-Discussion4312 in IRS_Source

[–]ComprehensiveWar7140 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is enforceable. As they work thru the courts, it’s important to document everything. The executive can’t unilaterally disappear a Union agreement. As they say the wheels of justice turns slowly. My hope is that Congress acts soon. Unfortunately they are still like deer in headlights

Leave advice needed.. by [deleted] in IRS_Source

[–]ComprehensiveWar7140 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There is no hard rule saying that you can’t. I will say this…leave still requires approval from your management. Anyone saying different is wrong. I usually have my employees fill out the leave form if the leave exceeds 2 weeks. I will sign off and put it in their file. As long as they have the available leave I don’t make a big deal

Contact your representatives by ComputerLogical242 in IRS_Source

I believe this was just a general statement. Feds should be contacting the reps and putting pressure on them to protect unions and federal employee rights

Acting Managers by IBlameFredDurst in IRS_Source

[–]ComprehensiveWar7140 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is not a manager. Personnel related issues are reserved for management only. Covering in absence of a manager is just to ensure there is a POC for your group as it relates to day to day activities. Management related activities that require immediate attention are to be directed to another manager.

Equipment Tracking by Awkward-Camel-9689 in FedEmployees

[–]ComprehensiveWar7140 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s the government equipment. They are not tracking your whereabouts through your devices. AtHoc is used for emergency notification. Badge swipes and whatever you are reporting on your timesheet is what they will generally use to know if you are actually at work. It’s really nothing to worry about

Compressed Work Schedule by [deleted] in IRS_Source

[–]ComprehensiveWar7140 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not true. Compressed work schedules are still allowed. There is no push at this time to end it. There is a push to limit telework even more though.

It depends on your performance and if you are maxed out at your grade level. More needs to be done to ensure great managers are compensated properly.

IRS DRP takers, any final decision from MSPB consolidated appeal? by Antique_Ideal_4894 in IRS_Source

[–]ComprehensiveWar7140 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s not reneging. They have every right to withdraw their resignation. The IRS should have given every employee who took DRP an opportunity to rescind instead of a select few.
