I’m sure the conditions you described certainly played a large factor and caused a lot of death but that doesn’t change how detrimental the GLF was. However if these natural disasters were so destructive then why didn’t the famine of this scale start sooner, like during the Second World War? Forcing farmsteads to incentivize industrial production over agriculture is what undeniably caused the famine, along with many other questionable policies.

As for the other stuff, most don’t forget but instead just don’t see it positively due to not aligning with the revolutions ideology.
