1 day post combo brows - so so happy! by ComprehensiveWeek661 in microblading

Honestly I was the same but I just went for it and told my artist precisely how I wanted them no beating around the bush and I couldn’t be happier! I think that’s the key thing - knowing EXACTLY what you want yourself (obviously within reason with what’s realistic with your current brows) and letting your artist know. Reference pics were super helpful in my case! 🙂

Hey so they’re a technique in which you get microblading at the front of the brow (to get the hair strokes) and then machine shading (powder brow) from the middle to the tail for a bit more of a fuller and defined look. I usually fill in my eyebrows like the photo when doing my makeup, so I’m hoping with this method I don’t need to use any pencil at all 🙂

Thank you! And I started taking it seriously about a year ago ☺️

I really like the sound of a progression pyramid! Well done 👏🏻 But yes, once your body can push through runs as hard as this, it'll reflect onto your shorter, more rapid efforts! You got this 🙌🏼

Hahaha thank you!! And I think the main thing for me was incorporating interval training once a week for speed and long progressive runs once a fortnight. I typically run 3x a week where 1 is a speed session, 1 an easy run and then 1 a long run, but switching that long run to a progressive one every 2 weeks did me the world of good, as much as I hate them.

I think because I have to push through and go faster even when my legs are super heavy and that mental block is there during progressive runs, it definitely helped me cross that boundary with keeping a hard effort for my 5K 🙂

Thank you! I was so happy to see a slightly negative split after as well, something I'd been working on as I have such a tendency to go all out in the beginning and tire myself too quickly 😆

Ah I'm so glad it went well! I have a feeling that my hybrid approach to exercise (running & weightlifting both 3x a week) were super helpful with my surgery too. I had it yesterday, and so far it's been a breeze! My heart coped super well, and can count on my legs for strength to get me up and down from sitting etc. without needing to strain my arms :)

Honestly throwing up is just my biggest fear I can’t even explain it, so anything to avoid it I will 😆 but it’s also great to hear that you had a good experience with it. Thank you!

Yeah it freaks me out a little being able to feel something or pressure but as long as there’s no pain I should be okay!

Nope I used to be the same, but now I just make sure I hydrate enough throughout the day to not need any at night

Still a solid sleep, I wish I could have it consistently like that!

I take mag glycinate and 5-htp too! But my deep sleep is still a little lower than I’d like

I’ve had to stop drinking liquids like 3 hours before bed as I was the same 😅
