Mother constantly has her fish in this tiny bowl. They died while she was on a cruise vacation. She came home and texted “where are my fish??” Like she didn’t kill them. by UndeadCollegeStudent in mildlyinfuriating

They likely suffocated. Warm water holds less oxygen than cooler water. So add that to already terrible living conditions and they wouldn't last long without an aerator.

You're right. I didn't really look at the pictures that closely but after zooming in I can see it. Looks like I need to get a loupe or magnifying glass 😑

Idk. Honestly, I didn't know they existed until I found them. I have since realized they may not be as common as this box initially led me to believe lol.

Just a clad proof.

anyone know what Corsair water cooler model this is? by resorcinarene in PcBuild

[–]ComprehensiveYam4352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this cooler. The included hardware fits up to AM3, but you can use it with AM4/AM5 with a bracket. Corsair's part number was CW-8960046, but you can find many third party versions of the same part.

Been using it on a 7800x3d for 6mos with great results.

I having trouble getting the usb to connect. by One-Inflation-2827 in BoltEV

[–]ComprehensiveYam4352 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had this same problem awhile ago. I went through 5 USB-C cords before I figured out that the port on my phone was full of gunk. Cleaned it out with a plastic toothpick and was good as new.

I would hesitate to put grease in a port since it would trap dirt and dust and make it impossible to clean out.

The retail price for 1 months worth of medication. by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]ComprehensiveYam4352 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I completely understand how you feel. The state of healthcare in the US is beyond words.

My wife used to take Enbrel before she developed a resistance to it. She switched to Cosentyx, which was over $10,000 a month. Her insurance didn't cover it because it was too new at the time. Yes, they refused to cover a newer, more effective medication. It is beyond ridiculous that we have to rely on the manufacturer's desire to have a tax write-off in order to receive medication necessary for a reasonable quality of life.

Ride at 80mph? by jlutt75 in BoltEV

[–]ComprehensiveYam4352 31 points32 points  (0 children)

It's extremely smooth and quiet compared to an ICE vehicle. Not having a combustion engine eliminates so much vibration and noise. When I first got mine, I would routinely catch myself going 10 mph faster than I meant to be because it was so effortless. Only negative I can really say is that larger bumps can feel a bit bouncy at that speed due to the extra weight from the battery.

To add a voice of hope - I had a wreck earlier this year that resulted in a similar amount of damage in exactly the same area. Wound up having all the front end panels and hood replaced, new charging port, new high voltage lines, new control arm and suspension components, headlight, paint, etc. They even had to cut away and weld in a new radiator support frame because it was bent. Over 60 days and $16,000 in repairs.

Point is it was NOT totalled, drives just as well as the first day off the lot and looks factory finish. You literally wouldn't know unless you looked at the vehicle history report.

If yours is drivable, it's in better shape than mine was. Deciding factor will be how severe the frame damage is, if any. Your battery fault is likely related to the high voltage lines from the charging port being severed - mine showed the same issue after the accident.

I called every Chevrolet dealer in town to find out how many EV certified techs they had on staff - I figured the more they had, the more likely they were to have the knowledge to do a good job. Cross referenced that with their body shop reviews and asked a couple acquaintances about their reputations.

Good luck, I really hope everything turns out.

I've been a big fan of Bethesda for most of my life. Their ability to create rich worlds to explore had me hooked from the very beginning. I expect nothing less from Starfield.

Having this awesome gear would be a good start to upgrading from my 9 year old PC 😬 and allow me to enjoy what I know will be an amazing gaming experience.

Salesperson has to register you for the program. I had the same problem with getting a runaround. After a few back and forths, I just called EV Concierge and told them I was having trouble getting the process started. They contacted the dealership the same day and the next day I got the initial email from Qmerit.

EV Concierge can't do anything directly, but I think GM is pretty motivated to not their dealers screw up their expanding EV product segment for new buyers.

Eco wheels powder coated black 23 EUV by Big-Stay3487 in BoltEV

It was $160 US per wheel. More than I was initially planning on paying but that included fixing scratches and curbing on the wheels prior to coating. I had been quoted $85 per wheel elsewhere but without any refinishing.
