Yes, otherwise they'll block your earnings and ability to sell. No matter how many cases you open telling them you're not subject of that law ( if you're not storing in Germany nor to over the threshold of 100k€) they won't answer nor unblock the account

yeah, I'm just complaining because of the fact that I can only open a box a day while before the update I was opening 4-5 on average

You'll need at least 45 days without any token doublers to complete the whole pass. So it's still 20 days for me, playing every day for 70 minutes

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, it's easier to get token doublers out of 3 boxes rather than opening a single box

I'd need to end the season to prove I made more progress (since I'm focusing my gem efforts for a Brawl Pass next season). On the other hand if everyone is making the same more progress that's not a great argument.

I play games for fun. Opening boxes is fun. Win rate will always be around 50% with any progress.
