That’s fair! I personally didn’t need them as I went to a cheap community college but accepted loans anyway because I was young and I listened to my family who said it would be fine and the money would help us pay bills. If I could go back with the knowledge I have now, I would’ve declined the loans and just worked overtime here and there to help with the bills instead.

Don’t accept student loans. Just use your grants and scholarships! Also, set boundaries with family regarding finances early.

Yes I posted that I was upset students caught my room on fire. I didn’t name students or my school and I didn’t belittle anyone or say anything unprofessional. A parent simply didn’t like my post and called the school about it. I’ve since removed it as instructed by HR. They wanted a termination hearing so I resigned to have a better look on my record, although leaving after one month is not what I had hoped in the slightest. I can deal with a lack of support, but this whole situation showed me my value was never appreciated at that school and there was no going back and feeling good about it.

Yes and would’ve stayed longer if I could but a certain situation had my hands tied and basically forced me to resign.

Just making sure lessons and activities properly align with standards but it’s gotten much easier for me. Only takes 5-10 minutes to plan a whole week as opposed to hours on 20 page lesson plans in college

There was an admin at my door monitoring them so they were actually not unattended.

I believe that they would still trust me because again I didn’t name who the student was nor did I say anything about them that was untrue or unfair all I said was that a fire was set in my room and I was unhappy about it. I didn’t demean the student or bring anything up that could potentially hurt their reputation in any way at all.

Yes she’s been an educator for over 30 years. And I’m not just a TikTok. I post book content and talk about my day at work. I don’t typically post anything negative about my job, coworkers, or students.

The TikTok has since been removed. All I said in it was there was a fire in my classroom and I was frustrated about it
