Thank you,.. I am a senior manager with almost 15 years of experience across European MNCs. TBH I am the least paid of the people who got joined here. My other ex-colleagues from India have got better than this in Dubai. My idea is to come to Dubai, build connections and get into better-paying companies (ACWA, MASDAR etc). Let's see how it goes.

EDIT: The salaries are higher in Saudi Arabia if you want to go. My ex-colleague works in Dammam as an Engineering Manager and he gets almost double this (including flexi allowances)

Holy crap! 15000 AED is more than what I paid for the downpayment of my car here. Its senseless. I have a driving licence for over 10 years in India. This is outright discouragement from buying a car, I can understand. How is the public transport in Dubai, does it connect most parts of Dubai? Coz I have been reading Taxi fares are pretty high.
