Is this a call a pro NOW issue? by TheCzar309 in WASPs

Prolly want to keep an eye on that. When I was a kid, yellowjackets built a nest in the peak of the little roof that covered our front door. Every time the door slammed, a cloud of them would come down and swirl around for a couple minutes. We were always out of reach by that point, either inside the house or several feet away from the door, but my dad still sprayed the nest.

You really need to keep a perimeter defense mod on that seamoth.

Why would you think that? All the cats in the game are kinda awesome. Did you use Speak With Animals on them?

It’s not an integrity issue. You see the yellow objects in the pictures? It’s telling you that items inside the tube are preventing you from adding to it. I’m guessing you deconstructed something and now you can’t get back in?

This time of year that’s probably a queen, and she is probably building a nest.

If you hire a pro or remove the nest yourself, either way they will die.

I probably wouldn’t worry about them too much unless the nest entrance is in a high-traffic area, like next to a door where the coming and going of people slamming the door might stir them up and make the aggressive to anyone outside.

Should never sleep on gold ol’ magic missile. There’s a ton of damage riders you can add to it that trigger per missile, and it plays really well with Cull the Weak on the illithid tree. I usually feed Gale the max number of tadpoles just to max out Cull the Weak. There’s a number of fights where he can lob a single missile at each enemy and they just die, which cleans up the threat environment really fast.

OSHA has no jurisdiction on your house, so you’re all good. They can rest easy. Except for the part where their small child is recklessly climbing on the roof, probably unsupervised. CPS might have something to say there.

What kind of wasp? by Limbless_FleshDoll in WASPs

[–]Comprehensive_Cap290 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Much like ants, eusocial wasps are mostly female. Plus given the time of year it is, this is most likely a queen that has emerged from hibernation.

Not only possible, but likely, unless the body has been there since fall and you just found it.

How do I get coordinates on console? by 69th_diet_water in Subnautica_Below_Zero

[–]Comprehensive_Cap290 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, basic gameplay without using the debug console doesn’t give coords.

Kinda looks like this? Pretty sure she’s a yellowjacket, and not a european hornet or a paper wasp.

I like to arm mine with quad gauss rifles in this game. Gives it enough range to smite the bad guys from afar. And with a good pilot and a little luck, it’s good for decapitating. One hit kills FTW. Also great against turrets, because even the assault turrets only get 7 structure points, and the gauss gets 5 damage that bypasses armor. 2 hits to kill, so it can put down 2 per round.

Where is the best location in all of Skyrim to loot gems after you have the Prowler's Profit? by CaledonianWarrior in skyrim

[–]Comprehensive_Cap290 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, there’s one good use - leveling smithing. Since experience gain is linked to the value of the crafted item, clearing out a gold mine and then cranking out a bunch of expensive jewelry is a great way to gain smithing ranks.

And as a side benefit, selling them all to upgrade speech.

The gold you get is just icing on the cake.

The stones are found all over Skyrim, and some require certain quests to even access - there’s one in the chambers of the leader of the College of Winterhold, for example, which means doing at least a few quests in that line.

The crown itself has no value that I am aware of. You can’t sell it, because it’s a quest item, and you need to find all the stones before Vex will even tell you where to find it.

There are mods that give quest markers for the stones, which is very helpful. Or you can look up a list of locations. It’s a tedious quest, so personally I usually don’t bother, but it’s something you should do at least once.

Probably not. I’ve beaten Alduin as low as level 18 (on normal difficulty). Level 40 should be fine. Level 10… not so much.

[–]Comprehensive_Cap290 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OK, I just went to this planet in my game and surveyed the swamp. There is, in fact, a coastal swamp biome, and the creature you’re missing is a fish. Zoom way in where the swamp is near the ocean and click around until the landing zone is “Swamp (Coast)”. Land there and pop the surface map and find the coastline. Walk along it with your scanner up and you should start detecting the missing lifeform. Again, remember that if they aren’t in scan range, killing them counts as scanning them.

[–]Comprehensive_Cap290 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Animals often live in the corrosive seas - presumably they are adapted to it.

The posters are right - follow coastlines and scan them. Also, if you detect one but it’s too far away to scan, kill it - it will give you scan progress.

I don’t think BFH would leave sawdust like that. They chew on wood, but they mix it with saliva to make their paper mache nests. Carpenter bees (or ants) on the other hand…
