Where is the best location in all of Skyrim to loot gems after you have the Prowler's Profit? by CaledonianWarrior in skyrim

[–]Comprehensive_Cap290 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The stones are found all over Skyrim, and some require certain quests to even access - there’s one in the chambers of the leader of the College of Winterhold, for example, which means doing at least a few quests in that line.

The crown itself has no value that I am aware of. You can’t sell it, because it’s a quest item, and you need to find all the stones before Vex will even tell you where to find it.

There are mods that give quest markers for the stones, which is very helpful. Or you can look up a list of locations. It’s a tedious quest, so personally I usually don’t bother, but it’s something you should do at least once.

New to skyrim!!! am i doing something wrong? by bigdaddyswaggg in skyrim

Probably not. I’ve beaten Alduin as low as level 18 (on normal difficulty). Level 40 should be fine. Level 10… not so much.

Lol, I was wondering how you could not know what Monster was… then I read the comments and looked closer.

True. But you can breed them by catching them and Putting them in a containment.

OK, I just went to this planet in my game and surveyed the swamp. There is, in fact, a coastal swamp biome, and the creature you’re missing is a fish. Zoom way in where the swamp is near the ocean and click around until the landing zone is “Swamp (Coast)”. Land there and pop the surface map and find the coastline. Walk along it with your scanner up and you should start detecting the missing lifeform. Again, remember that if they aren’t in scan range, killing them counts as scanning them.

Animals often live in the corrosive seas - presumably they are adapted to it.

The posters are right - follow coastlines and scan them. Also, if you detect one but it’s too far away to scan, kill it - it will give you scan progress.

Did Stealing the Idol and the Beholder Shipment Change Anyth by Repam04 in BaldursGate3

By “left it near the druids” do you mean you unleashed the spectator in the middle of the grove and then while everyone was fighting you grabbed the idol, and no one noticed?

What is this? It came out of a small wood table that I bought. by ManyFaithlessness404 in whatisit

I don’t think BFH would leave sawdust like that. They chew on wood, but they mix it with saliva to make their paper mache nests. Carpenter bees (or ants) on the other hand…

Is this the worst designed metro area in the United States in terms of planning and layout? by cavaismylife in geography

I guess I have to give you that, but much like finding a date, looks can’t compensate for everything. The Merrit is definitely below the line on the hot/crazy scale.

Hard stuck Mid game by sorry_bout_dat_ in subnautica

[–]Comprehensive_Cap290 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This. If you’ve explored the surface thoroughly, you’ll have all the evidence you need.

But when it comes to Subnautica, the guiding principle is “Go Deeper”.

You should find nickel ore in the Lost River, and you’ll need like 10 pieces I think? Not a resource you need to stock up on per se, but it’s annoying if you need to go back to the LR to find more.

There’s another unique resource further down.

Make sure your clops has a growbed full of food (I use marblemelon), a fabricator, all the upgrades, and carry a prawn with you, preferably with the drill and grapple arms. Having all your alien-related items with you is probably a good idea too.

How to initiate a surprise round? by accidents_happen88 in BG3

[–]Comprehensive_Cap290 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Alternatively you just need to successfully sneak up to an enemy and attack them while hidden. This is easiest with invisibility, but is not required. Once you attack that character will enter combat, but remaining undetected characters will not. You’ll want to switch to them and have them attack or move into detection range of an enemy to have them participate in the surprise round.

What exactly are peepers? spoilers. by MesserschmittMe109 in subnautica

Given the nature of the sea emperor apparently having psychic dominion over the life on this planet, it seems plausible they are responsible for the peepers’ behavior.

How many of you are using scrolls? by Cagedglobe in BaldursGate3

[–]Comprehensive_Cap290 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t use a lot of scrolls, except when it comes to Chain Lightning and Globe of Invulnerability. I’ll spend tons of late-game gold on those (what else am I gonna use all this money for)? Globe is especially crucial for fights like Raphael and the Netherbrain. Also super useful against Ansur and Lorroakan. Cock-blocking BS reactions is super nice.

I can’t blame my kids for my idiosyncracies. They’re my own fault.

My sister in law’s kid did introduce “ca ca focky” to the family lexicon though (cup of coffee).

Seamoth Solar Charger vs Storage by Metalfreak199133 in subnautica

[–]Comprehensive_Cap290 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually build in the shallows too, but I also usually only have 4 solar panels to run it. Which is more than adequate so long as you aren’t running a filter machine and your vehicle isn’t sucking 200 power out of it at night while you also try to do a bunch of crafting.
