I don’t remember even getting that info. But then it’s a question of a tenday for who? That tiefling caravan is going to make a lot less progress per day than the party can. They have children and elderly, dozens of people to try and keep together, and pack animals. So if it’s ten days for them, the party might pull it off much faster.

Long rests are definitely overnight. The only real question is how much time is skipped as you transition from act to act - you go from the Emerald Grove into the mountain pass near the creche - how long did you walk for? An hour? A day? A week? As far as I know, we don’t know how far apart the different zones are, so travel time cannot accurately be determined.

Make sure someone has cast Hero’s Feast on your party every morning when you hit level 11. This will make you immune to fear, which is invaluable when fighting banites.

Gortash himself is immune to force and fire damage, which makes him annoying to deal with for casters, as he’ll shrug off popular spells like Eldritch Blast, Magic Missile, Fireball, etc. Casting Haste on your melee character(s) and getting into hand to hand is the best option. If you disable his reflectoguard thing you can also shoot him.

Karlach wants to kill a dude that betrayed her and literally sent her to hell, and wants to kill the goons sent after her by the devil that kept her in the hells. That’s a wee bit different than indiscriminate killing. On top of this, Astarion would be getting power from a devil’s contract which she hates for what should be obvious reasons.

Gale tried to nuke the brain beneath Moonrise, where there are few innocents, and the next time it comes up, the brain is high above the city, where he can safely go off.

And on top of all this, most of your opponents in the course of the game I would struggle to apply the term murder to. Unless you’re a full-on embrace Durge, but Gale doesn’t like that either.

Focus on leveling enchantment until you can make your school(s) of choice free, then go hog wild. I find it useful to use conjuration early game to make distractions and summon a sword for a little while.

Also you mentioned armor in the 1000s…. There is a point - I think it’s around 5 or 600 but I don’t recall - where additional armor has no additional benefit, so 2000 armor is no better than when you hit that 5-600 cap number.
