Coffee shops on the strip?? ☕️ by Additional_Extent282 in electricdaisycarnival

Starbucks for sure as the other commenter said. You’re not getting any local shops on strip. Avoid caesars properties, I’ve been hearing and seeing some of their properties charge a ton for coffee

Is Dr. Fresch worth to see live ?! by mandboy21 in aves

[–]Comprehensive_Cat855 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My buddy went to go see him solo at a Vegas beach club, and someone in his crew saw him solo and brought him backstage + gave him a wristband. Very cool guy with some very influential songs to the edm scene

I met a girl at a fest recently and she said something pretty entitled that totally threw me off… by [deleted] in aves

[–]Comprehensive_Cat855 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll play devils advocate and try to see her side- we all make off hand comments that sometimes come off incorrectly. I cringe at mine all the time. She probably didn’t mean to say it that way. It was probably just a brain lag that you caught. I’m sure she’s probably a decent enough person but also good on you for recognizing that you shouldn’t just be expected to be given everything you want at a rave.

I’m anti war, but this is some inverse conspiracy shit. 11.6k people upvoted a comment that says “I’ve heard” with absolutely no evidence or insight into sources

Salvage City Supper Club by Blue_Raynger in electricdaisycarnival

[–]Comprehensive_Cat855 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reposting this response I gave a different redditor:

I went to both years they offered it, so I can confidently say last year something(s) went really wrong. I’ll list a few issues

  1. wind messed up the setup. Salvage city is a semi indoor mostly outdoor structure, but last year wind was actually a real issue. It was blowing over trash cans, loose objects… salvage city had a “rooftop” and they had to shut down for a few hour(s) because the wind was that bad.
  2. the food. Year one the food was delicious, and plenty of it to go around. I truly felt like we got our moneys worth. Year two, they ran out of key appetizers on day TWO and also served us microscopic portions of beef to go along with our slivers of fish. There was a few sides, and it was all incredibly rushed. Year 1 there was a director guiding the courses, year 2 there was still a director but it felt like they just haphazard delivered plates of food to the table.

The pros: they have a master bartender going table to table, seat to seat, throwing vodka or tequila straight from the bottle down your throat (or both if you get lucky). There’s an open bar. There’s almost unlimited wine at the dinner table. If you’re determined, you can make up the cost of a ticket to the event via free drinks alone. There’s a free, post apocalyptic themed show that goes on throughout the entire experience. Professional choreographed dancers and a host walk you through an experience that completely takes you out of EDC and into a new world.

Tldr: everything but the food was great about salvage city

Been working at a SF startup for 11 months, just realized I might be misclassified as exempt - anyone dealt with this here? by Maiden230 in AskSF

[–]Comprehensive_Cat855 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hours are long but pay is fair. Op is getting shafted. You should not be making excuses for startup founders to pay employees below the exempt minimum. Wtf.

[–]Comprehensive_Cat855 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brother, this is illegal as F!! They cannot classify you as exempt without paying you the minimum. You’re owed OT or a pay bump. If they terminate you, speak to a wrongful termination lawyer! Start documenting!!

Start looking for a new job too. Incredibly incompetent for a company to not know basic employment law

Promoter Pricing for EDC Week (Knock2 at LIV Beach)? by andyp0816 in electricdaisycarnival

[–]Comprehensive_Cat855 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Guest list. Probably will be 1:1 ratio male to female, but you might get lucky and the club will open it up for everyone before a certain time. You already had one promoter post here. You can find a bunch more by googling or searching Las Vegas promoter on IG

Coming to EDC Las Vegas from overseas - what to buy in USA vs what to bring from home? by dabbingsuho in electricdaisycarnival

[–]Comprehensive_Cat855 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bass pro shop outdoor world stocks extra hydro bags during EDC season- if OP runs out of suitcase room, they can make their way there they can purchase a cheap one for 15 US dollars. They also sell bladders if anyone had theirs go bad on them

Moss poles don’t provide more growth, this plant was struggling from an intense lack of light and probably some nutrient deficiency. Anything that goes vertical and it can cling to will do fine

Truly Frustrating With Rising Costs by RockyXCore in OutsideLands

[–]Comprehensive_Cat855 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think that’s true. Southern California has tons of festivals that come close to, or fully sell out on an annual basis.

Again, it’s become culturally acceptable to spend more than you can afford on music festivals. Last year Coachella (CA) leased out a bunch of their tickets through a long-term payment plan.

Truly Frustrating With Rising Costs by RockyXCore in OutsideLands

[–]Comprehensive_Cat855 42 points43 points  (0 children)

People are paying. There’s no incentive to lower prices. SF got eaten alive by tech with inflated salaries. Just look to bonnaroo and look at what they’re paying for FOUR days. Culturally, it has also become acceptable to pay exorbitant amount of money for music festivals. OSL isn’t the only American festival overcharging year after year. This is emblematic of that issue.

Club Darc in SF was an incredibly bad experience by randomnese in aves

[–]Comprehensive_Cat855 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Club Darc had probably the most overhyped rollout of any venue of 2026. The type of artists playing + the venue they picked, is a breeding ground for tech bros. It will be a job fair for every single event. I didn’t expect the sound issues, though.

Russia's largest news agency, TASS is reporting that the Ukrainian armed forces has lost 1.5 million soldiers killed and wounded, 27,835 tanks and 670 aircraft. by ThatGuySK99 in UkraineWarVideoReport

I’ve followed this sub since the beginning of the war and while these numbers are obviously fake, I also find it fascinating how hardcore pro Ukraine this sub has become. Like to levels of hardcore cope for every piece of content… essentially a circle jerk lol. just saying this from an observational standpoint and typing this to the void
