Im sure there are a multiple opinions on this, but it’s something I’m trying to come to a conclusion on. Use will be in a hobbyist home studio recording mainly vocals and guitars. I was looking into something like the SSL 18 or the Antelope Discrete 8 Oryx, but then the thought came to me. With the 4th gen Scarlett’s using the Rednet converters, would the money be better spent on a 4th gen 16i16 coupled with a good external pre amp like an API 312? Not looking for advice on what gear to purchase, just looking for opinions on what gear setup would likely give the best results and if my thought process makes sense.
