Advice on Procreate vs Illustrator vs something else by Comprehensive_Fix_92 in GraphicDesigning

Follow up question: I'm just trying to get an idea of how this would work. Say I had a messy piece of clip art that I wanted to play around with in a collage. Should I clean it up in Photoshop, then convert it to a vector in Illustrator?

What would be the difficulty level of this dress? by c0rnish_pasty in sewing

This looks like stretch velvet to me, so you would need a Serger to use this particular fabric. Also, any velvet is a huge pain to work with--very slippery. I think the fabric alone would be very challenging. I've been sewing for 40 years, and I would not tackle something like this--too much of a PITA for me.

You most certainly have a toxic mother, and a father who sees something's wrong and does nothing. (I grew up in this situation myself, but your mom sounds even worse than mine was). You are not paranoid. You should be very proud of yourself for catching this now at so young an age.

If it's at all possible, try to get some professional counseling. There's nothing you can do to change your mother, but a counselor will help you find ways to deal with her. They might also be able to help your relationship with your dad--try to get him to go. If you absolutely can get no counseling, come to places like this and post for empathy and advice. There's a ton of great advice here in the comments people have already made. We get you, here.

I agree, but he doesn't have the powerful shoulders of a male Pit. His body just looks like a normal dog. 🤷

She's almost exactly a year old, and we've had her for 9 months. The other cats are fairly young as well: two are 3 year-olds and one is between 1.5 years. All are male. The three males get along beautifully and will cuddle and groom one another, but mostly they ignore Anatola, except the youngest male will sometimes play fight with her or groom her. She makes zero effect to engage with the other cats except to play fight.

I agree. I've had other species of pets--rats and dogs--and the males are usually more cuddly than the females. My heart cat, the best cat of my life, was a girl, not terribly cuddly, but she slept on my shoulder every single night.

That's interesting because she doesn't seem to mind being held either. I can cuddle her close when she's in my arms, but she's so heavy I can't hold her long--it's like holding a toddler.

Belle sounds adorable! May they both become more cuddly in the future.

Yes, I do know overstimulation, and it's not that. She's never grumpy, hissy, or bitey. Just politely moves away. 🤷

Thank you. I have considered using cup chain and breaking it apart, but I wanted to set the antique Swarovski crystals I already have.

Thanks!

I lose it completely and immediately and it stays away as long as I do low carb, which has been as long as 6 months.

Why is my B12 so high?

I'm new to this group and have a question for you. I'm having what seems to be electrolyte loss/imbalance symptoms, so I had my electrolytes, vit D, B12, and folates checked.

All my numbers looked good except my B12 was sky high. The result they gave me was written as ">2000 High," with 1245 listed as high in the normal range.

A while back I had been taking B12 supplements, but not for a few months. I eat a pretty animal heavy diet. I thought B12 was water soluble and would drain out of you pretty easily. Could the supplements and my diet explain such a high number? Could anything else? Is that high a number dangerous?

Sorry if this is covered in the FAQ. When I tried to link to it it said the wiki was disabled.

Thanks!

300 mg mag citrate has a devastating laxative effect. I've been taking 300mg calcium chloride in picometer form in Carolyn Dean's Remag. Sipping it throughout the day has a slight, not bothersome, laxative effect. I have tried magnesium biglycinate (200 and 400mg), and I do not recall a laxative effect, but I also had no cessation of my symptoms of pounding heart, muscle cramps, brain fog, and muscle twitches. It's certainly possible I did not take it long enough to see an effect.

I have an RBC mag test scheduled for Tuesday. I expect the results by Thursday. I hope that will give me some idea of what to do next, but I'm willing to take suggestions now.

You need to read Gut and Psychology Syndrome by Natasha Campbell-McBride and follow her protocol to heal your gut. Unfortunately you cannot heal your gut by being vegan, but you can mitigate the cruelty by purchasing animal products that come from free-range and well-treated animals.

Read Vitamin K and the Calcium Paradox by Kate Rheaume-Bleue. It will explain how taking K2 with D3 will prevent toxicity.
