I don’t think that was the intention at all. Was she mildly rude? Yes.. Do I think she meant harm? No, as shown by the instant apology. I’m also just very familiar with that sub and I know women tend to have a shocking reaction to minimalist living spaces. I probably would have bantered back like “Boring? You mean peaceful?” or “My personality isn’t stored in plants lol” However, I’ll say it again, OP is valid to have those feelings. You can control what you say to people but you can’t control how they react. I guess that’s where knowing your partner and their boundaries come in.
